For one of the CBA/Lockout knowledgeable posters?

I am sure this had been asked but are we currently in lockout as of today or when would the lockout officially start?

Also, how does that effect trades, can Spurs still make moves currently?

IIRC....there is a meeting scheduled today for both sides to discuss. There has been some progress (such as a proposed 62-million "flex cap" by the league), yet to be seen where that will end up.

If no agreement is reached, the lockout will officially start on July 1st. Summer League has already been canceled until further notice.

Both sides are far away and no significant progress have been made. A lockout seems inevitable. Owners could vote for a lockout ate the NBA board of governors meeting in Dallas next Tuesday.

Haven't they cancelled summer league? It's effectively in place whether it's 'official' or not.
