would certainly be an upgrade over bonner. maybe Yi can cause bonner to be traded. im for but only as a backup plan. would rather try and get kenyon martin first.

The only reason to have Yi on the Spurs is to take the scapegoating pressure off of The Red Rocket.

Yi may be the softest player in the NBA. He hates contact. Not what the Spurs need at all.

No no no. Living in DC I know all about his workouts versus the chair. Granted I recall David Thorpe saying in a chat the guy is a hard worker but just no.

If he had the skills of Yao he would have done something by now. No.

Yi is actually 38 years old, so no.

Either way, unless we suddenly had a huge influx of the asian persuasion, he wouldn't even take a second glance at this city. He and his agents have stated over and over his reluctance to go anywhere without a large dedicated asian community.

Hell Wizards play in Chinatown and he's not even going to stay in DC. They aren't matching offers for him cuz he was a #6 pick.

Soft as wet tissue paper, would be worse than Bonner.

Unless we can trade Bonner for him.

If you watch his games in FIBA, you can see that he is not soft.

Still, I don't think we should pay him more than 2m/y.

He was like 30 when he entered the junior competition league in China.

how'bout pavel podkolzin? that nigga be even longer then dat 7'6 Shite and maybe more skillful, i think he would be a perfect pick to accompany TD in the starting lineup imho.

I'd swap him for Bonner. Can't do any worse then Bonner

This is like going to a restaurant and telling the waiter, "I'll take anything that tastes better than poop." You're making the cooks job too easy.

Here and there Yi shows some good games, but he is way too inconsistent ...

I would prefer bonner over yi. Not kidding. At least bonner knows the system. If you guys and pop stop expecting bonner to be the next horry and just let him play his game, bonne's a fine player.

What exactly is an "oriental asian"?

Sorry for not responding to this; I'm not exactly an active member..

But what I meant was someone that was Asian that's ethnicity was oriental (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.)

Asia does have other ethnicities (Indian, Iranian, etc)

:lol

All orientals are Asian

All Asians are orientals (iow, EAST of Europe's occidental map makers)

because the Orient = Asia, synonyms

ergo, oriental Asians is redundant

"Chinese" would be less flabby language
