One of these or both need to be move before the season tips off. But who do ya'll think actually has the most trade value? And why?

It would be really hard for me to watch next season if we have both on the team..:bang

I want Bonner gone forever. I've never seen a player wilt more under pressure than Bonner. Opposing teams love to see him on the floor, almost as much as popovich does.

Bonner has higher trade value because of his Hoagie eating skills and Coach B videos. The positive impact that will have on any team is not only great but immeasurable. While his actual Basketball skills are dubious, at least he is not a 6-4 dwarf like Blair trying to guard the likes of Randolph, the Gasols and KG. At 6-4, 80 pounds lighter, and if he could dribble, Blair might be a decent third string SG though that doesn't seem likely anytime soon. So Bonner is my pick.

Blair may be undersized, but I would take him over Bonner anytime

Do you really think Blair is going to get better next year? I think he's pretty much maxed out his potential. He just doesn't have the finesse to play a Charles Barkley, Anthony Mason or Larry Johnson game. Those guys had similar frames but really were skilled. Blair has become nothing more than a bruiser. He's the second coming of Malik Rose at best, but probably not even that.

Skills wise, I think you are right :tu

But that doesnt mean he can't be a better player

If he calms the fuck down, he can be better

Blair is very hyper sometimes, rushes wild wild shots, retarded floaters, etc...

If he settles down a little, his decision making will improve and so will his game

Malik Rose had athleticism which allowed him to finish at the rim through and over bigger defenders. The only way Blair finishes on the basketball court is when a team mate breaks his man down and forces Blairs man to come off him and help... leaving Blair open. And even that it has to be within 5 feet for him to finish.

But like i said.. i wouldn't be fussed with Blair over Bonner.

I would take neither, but that's not the question here.

You know, I actually think Bonner has a decent amount of trade value to some organizations. If you look at stats and all of the metrics that analyze player impact on the court, Bonner is king. As a fan base, we know that he sucks and we want him gone. As a matter of fact, I think we'd all chip in a couple of hundred dollars each to pay a team to take him in. However, just using those metrics, he looks like a good-sized 4 that hits the 3 ball at an amazing rate and is a humble team player. I think that we'd be able to move him at some point before his contract is up. Probably not this year though.

RMJ, Turk... but it's no excuse really.

Neither. I want both gone forever, far far away from san antonio.

That being said. I'd rather keep Blair i suppose. Cause at least when Blair is sucking pop puts him on the bench. No matter if Bonner is sucking terribly Pop still keeps him out there jacking up brick after brick and getting scored on at will and making bonehead turnovers.

As long as Pop has that man-love for Matty, he has to go. It's not that Blair is the better/worse, it's just that Pop had no problem erasing Blair at times when DeJuan was sucking up a storm on defense. He just won't do that to Matty.
From a financial standpoint, Bonner should bring you better assets considering he has a higher salary. I just don't know what team wants to invest $7m the next two seasons on him.

I hate bonner I admit he gives us something, he stretches the floor with his 3 point shooting. he is also invariably a defense a liability and gives us nothing else. blair meanwhile is a beast on the boards. rebounding, in my opinion, easily one of the top facets of a game. blair has upside in other areas whereas bonner is a complete waste. if we could move bonner I would be eternally grateful

I like Blair and am not ready to give up on him. His defense will keep him from being legit starting material, but I still like him in a bench role. Bonner is just fucking worthless and is the greatest mistake Popovich has ever made. I don't know what the hell Pop sees in him.

comparing blair to rose is a slap in the face for rose, at leasts malik rose had a jump shot to rely on when lanes get clogged....

bonner needs to shave his head bald then he'd be a decent backup PF like findog imho. my nigga blair is right now the only big on spurs squad that gives TD some actual support

I'm not thrilled with either but I'm going with Blair. Blair not being able to stay in shape is disappointing and worrisome given his lack of ACL but he is younger and cheaper than Bonner.

Blair has more value and is the one more likely to be traded. The spurs want to add more size and Blair is undersized for his position. Look for Blair to be the one traded. Unfortunately looks like Bonner will still be with the team.

I certainly don't want to see anymore 30/20s from Blair and the Spurs playoff record since Matty took to the floor speaks for itself.

Bonner should retire a Spur.

Similar to Finley, Pop can be counted on to play Bonner no matter what. Pop really screwed the pooch with his experiment to turn Blair into a rotation player, but at least he kinda saw the light (when it was too late, as is his fashion the past few years) against Memphis and benched his sorry ass.

Pop's commitment to Bonnerball is scary, so I'd say he has to go. If Bonner's here, Pop will continue to play him, with the same result: failure.

i wonder if blair tones down his weight to 220-235, slim fit....can he play sf mainly a locked down defender? or his knees wont hold up due to slow speed

Everybody dream would be to have them both packaged in the same deal, but that ain't going to happen. I'd stick with Blair, better defender, rebounder and makes a few hustle plays. But in reality I'm thinking a Rj,Blair and Dice contract can give us the best option of improving the team. Yeah, Bonner stays but if keeping Bonner means getting rid of RJ??? Then do it. Bonner can actually benefit us if he plays a limited role..10-15 min per. Him playing almost starter minutes is where Spurs get in trouble..

Can anybody explore some Bonner/Blair trades?? I'm at work and typing with the droid..

Give Blair some credit, I mean I know he's short but 6-4? He's 6-7 270 lbs

Randolph is only 6-9 260 lbs and Gasol is 265 lbs so Blair actually has more weight on those guys. Honestly I thought Blair as well as he could do against Randolph. He used his weight to bother him so he couldn't get in the lane as easily and he used his quick hands to get a couple of strips. Something, non basketball related had to have happened in that series because Blair seemed to have something else on his mind in that series after the first couple of games which is why he didn't play at all.

With that said Blair has way more trade value than Bonner because he's proven his knees won't be an issue and he has a ton of room for improvement. Bonner is a one trick pony with a bad contract.

Blair just needs to get in shape and learn to pumpfake. He's still a beast on the boards and I thought finished pretty well off the pick and roll last season when he was starting. Struggled when he went for stupid falling down spin move floater.

Blair just needs to get over the "I' am a starter type of player" he is not he is a decent bench player. If he can understand his role it will help him be a better player for the Spurs.

The trick is that both player play pretty good during the regular season and then the playoffs happen and poof they both fanish!!!

Idiots strike again. Bonner was our BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER STATISTICALLY. \

Ultimate Fail........ Especially to the retards who pick McDyess over Blair.
