I was driving home this morning and listening to the Progressive station KPOJ 620 AM (http://www.620kpoj.com/main.html). It surprised me at first, because I was hearing a long commercial asking people not to sign the petition to get ballot measure 1130 (http://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/initiatives/text/i1130.pdf) approved for the November elections. This is a measure that I would think all liberals would want to see happen as it would kill jobs of the evil corporate America. Anyway, turns out, it was Vegans advocating this. The reason, go vegan.

Anyway I like the idea of the ballot except one thing. It will make eggs from the state of Washington more expensive and harder to compete against eggs not required under this measure.

For the Record, the eggs I buy com from Wilcox Farms (http://www.wilcoxfarms.com/). I pay probably 60% more that the cheap eggs cost, but I tell you as an egg lover. They sure taste better than the cheap ones.

Though I personally think all chickens should be laying eggs in a healthier environment than the big commercial farms use, I am not one to advocate this bill. We should vote with our money, and buy the more expensive cage free, free range, vegetarian fed, etc.

Also...

Don't peg me on saying free range isn't such, and the same for the other definitions. I know that. It is still a far healthier atmosphere than the cramped cages.

here's the problem, pal, anything thats labeled "free range eggs" shouldn't cost any money.
