Lots of teams trying to make last-minute deals before #lockout anvil comes down. Houston, as ever, burning up the lines.

Will Spurs do something?

It's hard to imagine, but I can see something perhaps with Dice being done for a team looking to save money with the pending lockout.

Richard Jefferson and Matt Bonner are great players and could help a lot of NBA teams.

I doubt it. Doesn't seem to be any urgency.

Don't laugh. Maybe David Kahn will browse this thread and offer Kevin Love for RJ.

Teams with TPE's that might expire if not used tonight:

I'm not sure if people will lose these or not, but I wonder how many people will try to do something due to the uncertainty. It's hard to imagine owners taking on money with the CBA up in the air, but you never know.

Also, I wonder what to make of some players opting out of decent sized contracts with this CBA looming. We saw many players rush to ink deals (TP) because of the uncertainty, but now guys like David West and Nene are opting out of decent sized years all of the sudden. Is this a sign of what they think will be a favorable CBA for the players?

Or they think they can get some money playing overseas, instead of 0% of their current contract.

Well guys like David West who is coming off an injury would be hard pressed to play overseas. You don't have to opt out in order to play overseas. There are plenty of players with contracts currently that said they would consider it.

Crap, I was hoping the Spurs might be able to move Jefferson and maybe Blair for Varejao by agreeing to take on Baron Davis' remaining two years.

I can't see the Spurs agreeing to take on that much money for Anderson.

Probably not, but it would be a way to turn Jefferson into 2 useful pieces while saving the Cavs $22 million (or $10 million if there is no 2011-12 season). Moot point now I guess.

Dallas got a 4.3M TE off fucking Matt Caroll? That's entertainment.
