Do you feel obliged, as a Mavs fan, to dedicate part of your existence to downplay all Spurs player's glorifications? Does that stem from Dirk's negative labels up to this recent championship? If so, you may need medical and psychiatric help.

the balding dude comes off the bench and can make some fancy ass passes and hit a clutch shot every now and then and therefor in Spur fans eyes he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Manu is a damn good bench player no doubt, but he is nothing more than a glorified mix of Jason Williams (White Chocolate) and Peja Stojakovic.

Manu has over achieved more than anyone in the league. For his level of skill, athleticism and such, he's gotten more accolades and awards than anyone I can think of. He's a decent outside shooter, his form isn't great to say the least. He plays on the edge of ball control all the time. Some times his antics cost the team as much as they help at other times.

What he has though you cannot teach. He has an insatiable desire to win, and he's absolutely fearless. I hear that a lot about this or that player, but there are only a handful of players that I can recall that have had that level of tenacity. Kobe used to have it, now he's more of a relic on the court. MJ had it, but he had the goods to go with it and wasn't out of control, he just did what he wanted and you couldn't do anything about it. A lot of other players knew their abilities and played within them with the occasional jaunt to a different realm. Ginobili does things that seem impossible, and that almost no one else would even attempt because there seems to be nothing in it (like swatting a bat or diving out of bounds for a loose ball when it's too late to make a difference). He has one gear only. That's why he's hurt all the time.

DUNCANownsKOBE

Manu's NBA stats and accolades stack up favorably compared to Joe Dumars'. Would Ginobili get into an NBA-only HOF? Probably

Few players at that position were better than Manu in his prime, and all who were will be Hall of Famers, too.

What Ginobili's résumé lacks in longevity, it makes up for it with a string of incredible successes. From 2002-07, Ginobili became an All-Star, posted an average player efficiency rating of 21.1 and won three NBA titles...Throw that Ginobili did for the "euro step" in the NBA what Allen Iverson did for the crossover, and he certainly qualifies as a basketball luminary.

why was Drazen riding the bench in Portland? because he could not play a lick of defense. Soft ass overrated euro. The best thing to happen to his legacy is to get killed in an auto accident.
