Home court victories mean nothing unless it's the seventh game.

Game 2 is more important for the Spurs than it is for the Pistons. San Antonio should vividly recall its Game 2 letdown versus the Nets in the 2003 Finals. This is not a must-win game for Detroit because the Pistons are good enough to win anywhere. But if Detroit wins Game 2, this series could be over. The Pistons know they just need to win one game on the road and take the rest at home. They've proven they can do it, but beware because road victories are harder to come by the longer the series goes. - Bill Walton

Huh?

He does not know that SA is 6-2 on the road in the playoffs including having 4 straight wins?

And you can bet your sweet petunias that he will be walking in downtown San Antonio when it is all over telling us how "he knew the Spurs would do it". :lol

Barkley and David Dupree are the only media that can say that they called the Spurs since the start of the season...that is a fact. The rest are bandwagoners.

He just said the Palace was the hardest place to play in all of pro sports...and the Spurs are 45-5 this season at home...

He just said they have to "put Manu on the deck".. I expect a few hard fouls. I just hope Rasheed has to pick them up.

And your point is? I believe he was referring to the atmosphere, the loudness and everything that goes with that. And now you may insert your cheap beer throwing joke below. You may be a better team at home, but thats not how he meant it.

Yes, and in other news....

Bill Walton is everything that is RIGHT with basketball. Pure Basketball people, that love everything about the game. Its people like John Saunders and Charles Barkley who you should hate.

walton was a great player but he's awful on tv. he's a bandwagoner who never admits that he made an incorrect prediction.

Why do you guys stress out about him? He's there to provide color/comic relief.

The TV folks stopped caring about insightful commentary long ago. You've got guys like GAnthony who are employed solely to pimp the sexier team, without deference to the better team, etc.

Once you stop looking for insightful commentary and realize they're just actors in a production, the game is much more enjoyable to watch.

I love Sir Charles...he is the most entertaining commentator in sports, bar none.
