Dwyane Wade Has Laser Eye Surgery

Would you trust your doctor with your livelihood?
Dwyane Wade just put his $15,691,000 eyes in the hands of another man. The Miami Heat star joined his teammate LeBron James (http://www.lasikeyesurgerycorrection.com/Lebron-James-Lasik.html) among athletes who've undergone Lasik eye surgery to improve vision.
Wade liked the surgery so much that he documented the procedure in a video just before and after being zapped. Yes, the video certainly seems like an advertisement, but it's still worth a look:

"I've seen a lot of people in my family get the eye surgery and its the greatest thing that happened to them," Wade says minutes before going under the laser. "I'm really looking forward to it. I know its gonna help my life, it might help me shoot better, so watch out!"

The odds are in Wade's favor with laser eye surgery. More than 90 percent of people are satisfied (http://www.aboutlasereyesurgery.com/laser-surgery-statistics.html) with the outcome after having their eyes done, according to the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Ninety-five percent of patients claimed improved vision, and 85 percent reported an improved quality of life after surgery.
Not all the numbers are good. Three percent of Lasik patients experience burning, glare and halo adverse side effects (http://www.laser-eye-surgery-statistics.com/lasik-eye-surgery-complications-problems.php). Hopefully the only thing Wade will have to deal with is seeing visions of Dirk Nowitzki coughing.
While recovering from the Lasik procedure and wearing sunglasses (http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/nba_truce_at_bosh_wedding_mji5xPSwoa5yXn4cynQRfI) to shade his eyes, Wade attended teammate Chris Bosh's wedding over the weekend in Miami, reports the NY Post.
While he might have to wear the shades for a few days, Wade was delighted with the outcome of the laser.
"It's kind of an amazing thing to see your eye wide open and to see something go right by it, see things touching it and you can't even feel it," Wade said just a few minutes after surgery.

Wow, is that a relief after seeing that brutal shot to the eye he took at the end of game 2. I was worried we were going to see another Yao situation. :cry

He's already got such superhuman vision that he can see the fouls that even the cameras miss, how much sharper can his eye sight get?

Jordan - People overrate him A LOT, he might be the GOAT but that doesn't mean he isn't susceptable to being overrated. http://hoopsapedia.webs.com/mj50ppgtoday.htm . I can keep throwing articles of absurd speculations.

Bird - How good was his defense in reality and how good did the media say his defense was?

No player that is elevated to superstar status at one point in his career is not overrated. It's called media hype, the NBA is as notorious as any other organization for it.

Jordan, Bird and Hakeem weren't overrated

Magic, Duncan and Kobe are

Jordan was overrated, people think he can score 50ppg in this era

Bird was overrated, he received far too much credit for being an average defender

Hakeem, people think he dominated at both sides of the court every game. He either put on a defensive clinic, or an offensive one, rarely both.

I don't disagree Magic, Duncan and Kobe are overrated. You're like a broken record mentioning Kobe so much, aren't you a Spurs fan? :rolleyes

Jordan would average 70 ppg today, especially with today's really really gay officiating, and the lower IQ of today's players
