Manu really got in his head game 1 playing him like a glove, and had Bowen finish him off

Tonight, they are tag teaming him again, and his frustration is boiling over, looking for calls, crying at the refs, getting Ted up.

Rip's never seen D like this, and he's beat.

Rip was 5-15 tonight...again 33% shooting

Is he still going to say that he just missed shots? :rolleyes

To be fair, he did miss some point blank layups. But just missing doesn't cut it in the Finals. Bruce and Manu are owning him. And when you cut off the head of the leading scorer, suddenly your chances of getting the W go up immediately.

The whole team looked beat.

If the Spurs bring that energy in the first quarter of game 3, this is a sweep.

The Pistons are worried about the Refs, they are not running their offense, Tayshaun Prince getting more shots is a farce, the guy has a horrible mid range game, Billups TOTALLY taken out of his game by Parker's defense,

an absolute ass whipping.

If you don't think, there is a seed of doubt in THEIR minds, then your in denial.

The championship mentality was gone when Rip Hamilton picked up that technical.

To be fair, manu, bowen, Duncan, Mohammed, and Robert Horry had a hell of alot to do with that.

I have to add on, Larry Brown on the podium looks like he just lost a family member.

Is Manu the better defender than Bruce now?

I think he blew a wide open layup with no one within 3 feet of him. But the rest of his misses have obviously been due to our tough D.

So is Tayshaun Prince. He worked his ass off trying to keep Manu from being Manu--to no avail.

There was a story yesterday or today where Prince was basically admitting that he wasn't quick enough to guard guys like Wade or Manu.

I think Detroit is facing a dark reality - the only guy who can keep up with Manu is Rip Hamilton, and in that matchup Manu is just all inside Rip's head, so they're limiting Hamilton's exposure to him.

But that's their only chance to slow the guy down right now.

Well, the TV announcers keep saying "the Pistons are getting good shots, the shots they want, but they just aren't falling." :rolleyes

Funny how that happens all year to Spurs opponents.

They are so freakin' fragile when calls don't go their way. That exchange where Rasheed wouldn't take the ball to inbound so he could continue to jaw at Jack Nies (?) was classic. The ref just sat the ball down and started the inbound count. He could've called a T, but I thought he handled it really well.

They were. Antonio Mcdyess was draining jumpers all night long. But some of their shots were rimming out, layups were rimming out. Our defense obvoiusly had to do with their misses, but Detroit is also a horrible shooting team so the combination of the 2 spelled disaster.
