Hey ya'll, I'm up in MD visiting the folks and my mom decided it was time to have a yard sale (how convenient now that my bro and I are here). I've torn the house apart going through all the shit and have found a plethora of clothes, cds, dvds, vhs, various electronics, exercise equipment, board games, tents, art/paintings, etc. BTW, I found a couple porn dvds as well, but should I just put them in the movies pile or trash them?
I've looked at various websites to see what I should price certain things at, so I thought I'd ask you fine people as well. What's fair? I'd like to make some money but at the same time I don't wanna jew anybody on junk.

My wife's mom is a garage sale queen. Goes every 1st weekend of the month(pay time for most ppl so your more likely to sell). I believe everything is dirt cheap. Rarely find anything over 5$. It's like a dollar store out there and ppl still trying to bargin. Just save the best stuff for eBay or Craigslist cause garage sale shoppers are in it for the "almost free" high.No more then 10,20% of what it use to cost is the max from the few crappy garage sales I've been to. I remember my sister didn't know the "cheapness" and didn't even cover the cost of buying the permit :lol

well if its junk then have a garage sale and sell it for next to nothing. git it gone. thats what garage sales are for and why people go to them.
if its good stuff and she wants to make some money then you have some work to do on craigslist and ebay.
you can try and have your cake and sell it too, but there is work involved in that as well.

Most of it is 'interesting' junk
I found some of my report cards from the 5th grade...interesting comments. I actually remember catching a beatin from the old man b/c of one of them:rollin
The only thing I found that's worth the time of Craigslist or ebay is a box full of nothing but cal ripken cards. My pops used to collect them and has everyone of his cards that was made during his career. There's even the Billy Ripken "Fuckface" card from Fleer :lol
It's too bad the economy sucks and baseball cards ain't worth shit now, or some of these could be moneymakers.
Throw a hunski at your mom, trash the shit and have your day free of the hassle.

You will get the vultures that will come around after the sale has ended and offer like 30 bucks for the everything that's left.
Tell them to fuck off.
