This psychopath has defaulted on his personal debt and now wants to do the same for the US....typical republican / tea party hick....

Now I wouldn't have posted this story until I read this line:

Court records also show Walsh objected to paying for a summer camp or a homecoming suit for his children, the Sun-Times wrote.

What a dick...and yet he wants to challenge my man Obama...someone please send Joe back to the trailer he came from. :lol

Tea Party hero Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) wants to wipe out the nation’s debt, but he’s got some major personal debt that his ex-wife is demanding he take care of - $117,437 in child support, according to a lawsuit revealed by the Chicago Sun-Times (http://www.suntimes.com/6720892-417/tea-party-rep.-joe-walsh-sued-for-100000-in-child-support).

The suit charges that Walsh enjoyed foreign vacations with his new girlfriend while claiming he couldn’t pay support for his three kids because he was out of work.

Walsh’s attorney, R. Steven Polachek, told the Sun-Times the claim is unfounded.
“I dispute that he owes the child support that she’s claiming or anywhere near that amount,” he said. “Joe Walsh hasn’t been a big-time wage-earner politician until recently — he’s had no more problems with child support than any other average guy.”

Attorneys for both Walsh, a telegenic Tea Party hero (http://www.politico.com/blogs/davidcatanese/0711/Joe_Walsh_cable_catnip_.html) known for his boisterous and uncompromising proclamations, and his ex-wife, Laura, a pharmaceutical attorney to whom he was married for 15 years but split in 2002, blame each other for stalling in the case, the Sun-Times said. The couple’s three children are now 23, 20 and 16 years old.

Citing court documents from December, the Sun-Times wrote that before his successful 2010 campaign Walsh told his ex-wife he could not make child support payments because he was either out of work or between jobs. Walsh loaned his campaign $35,000.

Laura Walsh also claims that while Walsh was failing to make child support payments, he took vacations to Mexico and Italy with a new girlfriend and traveled to Nicaragua with one of their children.

In one filing, Laura Walsh’s attorneys wrote: “The apparent availability of large sums of money from either his employment, his family or his campaign has allowed him to live quite a comfortable lifestyle, while at the same time, due to his failure to pay child support or any of his share of the education costs or medical expenses, Laura and his children were denied any of these advantages.”

Court records also show Walsh objected to paying for a summer camp or a homecoming suit for his children, the Sun-Times wrote.
The child support issue is hardly Walsh’s only legal problem. He’s being sued by a former campaign manager and was accused of failing to file financial disclosure (http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/investigative/20100426-joe-walsh-investigation) statements on time.

Walsh’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.

This wouldn't be the first time a politician has basically been found advocating principles of whatever kind for everybody else but themselves.

This goes for the left and the right.

Given that the right is far more vocal about morals, values, and rectitude, it has been my experience that the more vocal they are, the more likely they are to be hypocrites like this.

Wide stance anyone?

Oh, Gee!!

show me where in the Bible or Constitution it says child support is legal.

“I won’t place one more dollar of debt upon the backs of my kids and grandkids unless we structurally reform the way this town spends money!” Walsh says in one video. But today, when confronted in a CNN interview about his failure to support his own children, Walsh not only refused to acknowledge his hypocrisy but insisted that being a deadbeat dad meant he understood the plight of average Americans:

I know that story just broke, and it’s interesting that it just broke right now as I’m out there trying my best to fight this President and fight the Democrats and solve this debt crisis. But look, I’m the most openly vetted candidate in the world. I have had financial troubles and I talked about them throughout the campaign. This is where real America is.

It gets juicier.

In 2009, Walsh lost a condo to foreclosure because he owed more than $300,000 on the property. In April 2010, an investigation revealed that Walsh failed to file his personal financial disclosure form as required by federal election law. When questions about his personal finances dogged his congressional campaign, Walsh once again claimed he wasn’t a rich man, despite managing to pay $3,300 per month for a house in upscale Winnetka.

Walsh also rejected the congressional health insurance plan for his family on principle, much to the chagrin of his current wife, Helene, who had a preexisting condition and needed surgery while the couple was uninsured. (Walsh’s Wikipedia page excludes his first marriage.) But Walsh apparently thinks he can have it both ways — claiming his own indebtedness and failure to care for his family’s needs allows him to understand average Americans, while railing against Washington for irresponsibly racking up deficits. As he put it in a recent interview, “Thank God congressmen like me are here!”

"I'm all for fiscal responsibility."

gotdam...dude is a bad guy...he needs to be shamed to no end this is what the Tea Party represents at it's best...He's been making the rounds on Cable news outlets lately swearing up and down at Obama when he's nothing more than a really bad dead beat dad...now that I have context about this guy I see why his hatred for Obama runs so deep...

He's jealous...jealous that a black man is taking very good care of his kids and always has while Joe dodges his responsibility in every way imaginable...it's eating away at him because Joe all of a sudden finds himself on the sterotype end of the typical black father...which is being absent from the home. I can't think of any other explanation to explain this...why would he be so consumed with hatred with a record like this...By allowing kids to stay on their parents insurance until they're 26 Obama has done more for Joe's kids than Joe ever will....

good thing they have decent mother....

Maybe not but they are the minds that thoroughly kicked the Dems ass and have the GOP poised to take the Senate & White House in '12...according to the polls.

No.

And I wonder why $117k in child support is a big deal, without the "how did he get there." If he was ordered to pay massive amounts, then lost income or something, it can be easily explained. Now if that's an accumulation over several years, then that's a different story.

Fucking ankle biters.

So what is the moral of the story? Let me guess...

I'm an agressive dead beat dad...I've defaulted on my home loans, I'm being sued by former employees because I failed to pay them at least 20k in back pay that I owe, I've been arressted several times for driving on a suspended license. My ex-wife has been back and forth to court with me over the last 10 yrs, threatening to garnish my wages because I wanted her to support my kids since she had a better job...in the meantime I've been hanging out with my new lover taking lavish vacations...I got some fucking tea party hicks to vote me into Congress and now that I make almost 200k a yr I'm still not obligated to pay all those years of back pay I owe my wife.... I may not be worth shit, I may not be a man, I may not take care of my kids, I may not know how in the hell to manage my personal finances but I know how to balance the governments budget. Trust me poor old uneducated Joe over the uber educated Obama...I know how to fix the economy....

and yet after all that we still can't decipher the moral of the story? well let Kool help you out...

The Moral is: " The Tea Party is full of inbred hick activists. The everyday Joe is really worthless and stupid as fuck...Stupid as in insensible to moral truth according to the Hebrew definition."

My guess is that this guy's credit score would make it rough for him to get a job as a bank teller.

Perfect choice to balance government budgets, tbh.

Joe Walsh seems to be an asshole.

Obviously, because HE is an asshole, the Federal Deficit is not a problem.

Am I playing the game right?
