If the motherfucker ain't got a police badge, that kid would be within his rights to kick toy cop in the fucking nuts in self defense.

In Texas wouldn't those two toy cops be guilty of felony assault? The idea of any dickhead making $10 an hour having the same rights as a cop is ludicrous.

You guys know that he's not a cop right? He's some security rent-a-cop.... they say it from the start and it's on the videos description...

He wasn't a kid either. Both the dude and the cow are in their 40's.

Apparently they were both Foley Police Officers as well. Not security guards.

If they're in uniform as police with a legit police badge showing then that's different; hard to tell from the video though.

A couple from Arizona is in trouble with the law in Baldwin County after a showdown with police at the Foley Wal-mart. Anthony and Chrisanna Smith are charged with assaulting a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. It was all caught on a cell phone video but something else was also caught on that video too.

They were actual officers, on duty.

Apparently this is what sparked it :

Lt. Thurston Bullock with Foley Police describes how it all started inside the store. "They accused him of treason because he was in the store shopping on duty, they said."

LOL, that's hilarious. So they knew he was an actual cop and then acted like he had no authority to detain them? :lol

Motherfucker got what he deserved then.

yeah nobody thought that one through.

Are you serious? In Texas you could legally conceal one, and isn't Arizona an open carry state?

It happened in Alabama fwiw

D'oh, the article only identified the couple as being from Arizona. I'm not sure if AL is concealed-carry or open-carry.

it's not about whether it's legal for one to carry one, it's just that i've yet to see a rent a cop who was authorized by the company he worked for to use one. maybe it's just me? i'm no lawyer

It wouldn't surprise me to see some dickhead who couldn't make it through the police academy and who could give a crap about his $10 an hour job and company policy carrying a concealed taser.

baseline bum

i mean man if you're carrying a taser and it's against company policy i'm pretty sure they would notice, it's just unlikely and that's what told me immediately that they were cops. and if you notice, the 2nd guy who came in and tackled fatty actually had some training and experience he wasn't playing around like the other one. the odds of a rental cop executing an arrest like that?

I guessed toy cop in this video since the cop never identified himself as such when they said he was kidnapping them. I never expected these people to be stupid enough to act like a person they had identified as a real cop and harassed didn't have the authority of a police officer. :lol

Security guards have the right to detain someone and even handcuff them. As long as they have cause and call the police promptly then detaining someone until police arrive will be deemed a reasonable detention.

They have the right to use reasonable force if they are attacked or harmed in attempting to detain someone.

Technically every Texas citizen has those same rights. So next time you see a punk doing something wrong at walmart take his ass down.

Anyone can buy a taser...if you have 250 bucks.

Sucks to be a rental cop, what if you have to confront a gun carrying shoplifter and company policy doesnt allow you to carry guns or even a taser for personal protection.
- Should've tased the fat woman too for running her mouth.
