I wonder if Pop feels guilty.

why should pop feel guilty that he has better players

Because Pop is the reason he has better players(that and some good luck in the lottery and in not landing Kidd or Webber). Don't forget Pop is still the head VP of BO and was the GM not too long ago. Matter of fact...I think Pop met RC Buford through Larry Brown...I think they both started out as Brown's assistants.

Lots of reasons for Pop to feel guilty...But I am glad he doesn't seem to be struggling with it.

Well, pop isn't the one who stays in one city for 3 years then turns his back and goes somewhere else. I imagine as a player you might play for the guy who will be there when times get tough.

Pop will never see it this way. To Pop, Larry is simply the best, case closed. Pop respects Larry so much, it's almost as though they still work together.

I think Pop also asked Larry Brown about Nazr before trading for him.

Come to think of it...ole Larry gave us Speedy Claxton too...

Nothing says thanks for all that like beating his ass...

he was asked something about the Spurs something compared to Detroit and he said

"Your gonna get me in trouble with the boss"

The one thing I WONT miss after this series, is the french kissing of Pop and Brown.

I don't think either coach thinks of it in terms of Pop v. Larry.

If anything, it's been clear to all who have watched that it is really ...

Spurs > Pistons

and not

Pop > Larry

Jealous that Brown is getting more than you are?

I think Pop has out game planned Brown but you can argue it's talent. I think Pop will feel guilty about beating Larry on some level because that's the kind of guy he is and the relationship they have. I certainly think he'll feel guilty if people talk about how his team dominated or embarrassed Brown's team if this pattern continues.

I don't know about Pop > Larry as a coach, but I definately think Pop > Larry in the post game interviews! Jesus! I don't think there's a worst guy to interview than Brown, except maybe Karl!
