You can pick it up anywhere along the way and enjoy it.

The scene with the publisher is the goods. Douglas ends up in the hallway beating Hell outta that locked briefcase:lol

The casting of the girl though was a mistake. It bugs me no end.

Penn is a pain in-the-ass in life, but, he's monumental in anything he appears in. "The Assassination of President Nixon" features Penn and it should not be missed.

Matzel, matzel, good thread.

Besides Spicoli, I think Penn's greatest role was that lawyer in Carlito's Way.

I've tried "Carlito's Way" a couple times. I just can't do it. It's like "Resevoir Dogs" with me. I have no use for either movie and I've tried "Dogs" at least 3 times.

Penn is terrific with Christopher Walken in "At Close Range." Walken overshadows him in their shared scenes, but, alone, Penn is outstanding there. That freakin' movie is an experience. The entire cast is superb.
