View Full Version : Your movie ideas!

Alot of us have posted in this forum that the movie industry has run out of fresh ideas, too many remakes and sequels. So, what are some of your ideas for a movie? It will certainly be a challenge to come up with something unique since every storyline has been told on the big screen.

I would love to see a Transformers/Avengers movie!! Marvel Comics did produce "some" of the Transformers comics many years ago. In fact Spider-Man battled Megatron in one issue. Marvel Comics and IDW Publishing made a "crossover" comic book series called The New Avengers/Transformers. The New Avengers consisting of Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Falcon and Ms. Marvel. Prowl, Ratchet, Jazz, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime form the Autobots. They come together to battle Megatron after he captures Spider-Man. Even though this is still a superhero movie, this would be a cool plot!

I think it would be cool if they made a movie about a guy who stutters real bad but has to give a big speech.

Set the movie around WWII and you'll have an Oscar winner.

You started a thread looking for original movie ideas and your big contribution is an Avengers/Transformers crossover?

This isn't original but what about a reboot of Twin Peaks.

The Godfather: part 4 or Lawrence of Arabia 2: Lawrence's Return. Or how about this, make a movie about Ben Hur's chariot racing career before he went back to Judea!!!! Lots of material you could work with there!

I got a few more. A movie about the childhood of Alex Delarge and how and why he became the horrible person he did. Or a continuation of The Graduate. Tbh I felt I deserved to know what happened to Ben and Elaine after that bus ride. And then we could do a movie on the life of Jules from Pulp Fiction after he left the business (Tarantino actually considered that but wisely didn't go through with it). And then finally, a remake of Fight Club. I know it's only been 12 years but what the hell. It ain't stopping the comic book movies

yes, I'm being sarcastic. Fuck Hollywood

I'd produce a movie where the beautiful administrator of a Board, (like this one) falls in love with an older man (like this one), leaves her husband & umpteen children, (adopted & otherwise) and moves to Phoenix to settle down with this older man (like this one).

I'd title it "The Princess & The Geezer." I'd cast Kor I. Ellis in the Princess role. And for the lucky old man part I'd cast Culburn369. Let life imitate art.

There'd be some tasteful, though full frontal nudity (her too) and the producer (me) would never talk about Kobe leading that tired old shit bag Duncan 5-4. No, instead I would pitch & woe my ingenue (the Ellis girl) night & day in hopes that when shooting the picture wrapped she would just stay on here with me and we'd live like happily ever after, LJ, and the brood withstanding.

I've got an idea.

The movie starts off in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. A young man struggles with his identity and sets off on his own to find out who he really is. He finds out that his mother (a prostitute) once slept with a comanche indian so he begins to identify himself as native american even though he has pasty white skin and light brown hair.
He eventually gets picked on by a couple of guys from a local Crip gang and in his head he imagines himself to be a 6'4" 250 pound blood. He names his blood character Darryl and writes a comic book about Darryl's adventures. He begins to realize that his wandering aimlessly is going to get him nowhere in life so he sells his comics and makes enough to go to school to become an accountant.

I am still working on it so bear with me.

Here's another idea. The title is Ready In 15.

The story is somewhat similar to Black Snake Moan. The main character keeps his woman locked up in his house to protect her from all the men that, in his mind, are after her. The situation escalates and turns deadly when the woman is supposed to reheat his pizza so they could watch a movie and instead she gets on the phone with her mother who she is not allowed to speak to. When 15 minutes have passed and the pizza is not in front of him he sets down his XBox controller and goes after her.

It's full of suspense and romance.

One more…

This one is a coming of age story about a young man that is struggling to become a video game musician. He is a dedicated and troubled artist that is still living in his parent’s basement. One night while practicing with friends he ingests what he thinks to be a caffeinated energy drink but it turns out to be a concoction made by a voodoo priestess. Upon drinking said beverage he starts to believe that everyone is after him and decides to take his mom’s van without permission. When they come out to question him he turns on the rage and begins to curse them and claw at his face in this supernatural thriller called... AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS!

I'd have to give the thumbs down on a Sopranos movie. Chris is dead. Adriana is dead. Johnny Sac and Leotardo are dead. Bobby's dead. Junior is braindead. Sil is basically dead. Worst of all, Tony's almost certainly dead too with how the show ended. Even if they could rewrite that ending into something else plausibly, the only interesting character left from New York is Little Carmine.

Here's one:

A young man, with great athletic ability learns to play basketball and becomes a superstar in high shool in college. Over time he realizes that he is gay. However, once he lands in the NBA, it becomes difficult for him to come out. After some good years, the pressure over his gayness causes him to lose his focus and drive for the game. He makes an unlikely friend on the team in an happy go lucky 26 year old rookie who has who takes advantage of drunk women. They form a bond and end up going on a camping trip where they begin to explore their curiosities with each other. But in a bittersweet ending, in their moment of togetherly climax, an unmanned RV rolls over their tent and combines the too into a siamese like person.

I hadn't thought that far into it. But it makes sense. The rugged Arizona landscape, juxtaposed against the protagonist's feminine nature, would really highlight the internal struggle he faces.

I've wanted to see a movie about modern weapons being used in older wars, like someone takes a 50 cal to those castle siege wars, and sits atop the tower and kills the other army's general from 2 miles out or something absurd like that.

There have been attempts at it with Time Cop and some other shit, but they get really stingy with it because of the suspension of belief factor. Fuck it, once you get time travel across, take whatever the hell you want. Go back and fuck people up.

-A terror film where you don't see the "monster" or "ghost" or whatever 'till the very end, so that the end of the movie is the part where you get scared the most.

-An incest film were you feel sympathy for the incestuous couple.

Well I'm not really a fan of either version, but I believe the technological constraints of the 1930's version prevent a fair comparison.

I really was trying to make the point that the 1980's version is a remake. And judging by the number of threads/comments about "Hollywood has run out of ideas" around here, I find it humorous that so many folks (and not necessarily you 2 guys) seem to think that the recycling of movie ideas is a new thing ;)
