These are guys who were good to great players in their prime, but they played for your team at the tail end of the careers when they had slipped. These are the Mavs who earned their glory elsewhere:

1) Alex English
2) Adrian Dantley
3) Tim Hardaway
4) Fat Lever
5) Peja Stojakovic
6) Nick Van Exel
7) Herb Williams
8) A.C. Green
9) Dennis Rodman
10) Eddie Jones

Yep Willis too

I hesitated for Horry, because he made so many big shots for us

True, I just remembered Pop went out of his way to keep him on the bench until playoff time. He made big shots, but it was a far cry from his Houston days.

Fisher started with our team--don't know if that constitutes 'retreads' but I could be wrong.

I would say if they started with another team and the Lakers picked them up and they succeeded with us...or is this based on being sorry on a previous team and becoming serviceable on the new team?

1.) Bob McAdoo
2.) Gail Goodrich (If we're going with the Fisher definition of re-tread)
3.) Lamar Odom

hmm...would Kareem and Wilt be considered re-treads as they really took off under their Lakers' career?
