In baseball (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseball), a quality start is a statistic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseball_statistics) for a starting pitcher (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starting_pitcher) defined as a game in which the pitcher completes at least six innings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innings) and permits no more than three earned runs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earned_run).

Well I wasn't talking about ducks' definition of quality, I was talking about the textbook definition of quality.
In the end, Oswalt satisfied the textbook definition of quality. That's pretty heroic and gritty given he was coming back from a back injury.
Oswalt personifies quality and grit

Oswalt was loudly booed in the sixth in a way that was reminiscent of the days when the Phillies lost often at old Veterans Stadium.
