Does anyone else think Bender is the worst character on Futurama?

It's hard for me to get fully on board with this show because he's one of the main characters... and yet whenever he says or does things, I don't laugh.

Context: I'm catching up on Netflix and am half way through season 2. Maybe he gets funnier.
