Here's the deal. Some contractors were supposed to come over to the house today to give us an estimate on some work we wanted done. I knew the time they were supposed to be there and my wife was also with me when I met with them. Well she spent the day making sure the house was spotless and making sure the kids didn't make a mess because people were going to be walking around and looking at what we wanted done.
So, they don't show up. She calls me upset because she is certain I got the date and time wrong (even though she was with me). I tell her in a relaxed voice that the number is on the kitchen counter and if she tells me what it is I will gladly call them. Then she says "why do you have to call when you have the paperwork in your car? Can't you just go and check?" Which pisses me off because she is right next to the counter and my car is not right next to me.
So I tell her she needs to chill out and then we hang up because she arrived at work. So I haven't taken my lunch yet and go check my car for the paperwork. Sure enough the date and time were right so I give them a call. They apologize and say they thought they called and emailed me (yeah right) but they were unable to stop by today because of some bullshit excuse. SO I have him email that to me and I forward to my wife. Then since I was already out I picked up an "I'm sorry" card and took it to her work. Then on a piece of paper I wrote "You can write whatever you want on this before you give it to me. Plus a six pack wouldn't hurt either."
After I got back here I thought well I am not exactly sure what I am going to get on that card :lol.
We'll see what happens.

The deal is this. I will not argue over the phone while I am at work. So I also won't call her while she is at work just to argue. I think it's pretty trashy when people do that.
I was pissed off and in the moment so naturally I wasn't thinking. I know I forget stuff so she really had me second guessing myself and even thinking that I made a mistake. If she would have given me the number earlier in the day when I asked her for it we would have found out sooner and she could have relaxed more.

The thing is I DID say that. That is when she conveniently got to work though. I leave before she does so i can always get to her car and take it before she even sees it but I kind of want to know how this plays out to tell the truth.

Contractors are getting worse nowadays. It took our contractor 3 weeks of constant calling to put in our sprinkler system and only took them 1 1/2 days to complete the damn thing. I would have asked for our 50% down payment back if I wasn't so f'in lazy in finding another contractor.

Oh and the wife did shit other than complain to me the whole time...never picked up the phone to express her displeasure to them...must definitely be a latina thing cause it sounds strangely familiar to yours.
