They are flying back to Detroit for Games 3-5.

We're busy stalking the referees night and day, leaving them "messages".

Were all still behind them. All San Antonio did was protect home court, now we can see if the Pistons can do the same. If they do, they are going back to Texas with a 3-2 lead.

All San Antonio did was protect home court

All? but....but...I thought that that didn't matter in this series because the Pistons were this incredible road team. :rolleyes

:)

Wallace ²
06-13-2005, 11:25 AM
The Pistons are a good road team, and the Spurs are a good home team. The Pistons have to win these 3 at home because they wont win 2 in a row in San Antonio.

SPARKY
06-13-2005, 11:26 AM
Spurs are also a good playoff road team.

I didnt say they werent, I just said that the Pistons HAVE to win all 3 of these home games because it is highly inlikely that they will win 2 in a row in SA

I know the pistons are exactly where they want to be down 0-2!

whottt
06-13-2005, 11:30 AM
Look at it this way Wallace...It's not that you have to win 3 in a row...it's that you have to win 4 out of 5...IOW...You have to outplay us to the same degree you did the Sixers.

Wallace ²
06-13-2005, 11:32 AM
There is still a chance. It is dwindling, but I cant give up hope. I just cant wait for the season to be over so Larry Brown gets the hell out of Detroit and goes to ruin some other teams younger players.

so ungrateful for last year's championship already? how exactly is darko supposed to get minutes when he plays behind the wallaces and mcdyess? and don't say you are talking about arroyo, he was a head case in utah - sloan got him out of there fast.

MiNuS

HOME COURT?

with all the BS going on that Detroit would come in and take 1 of the two games here @ SBC. Sure the Pistons beat the Heat at their place twice but SBC OWNS the Pistons!
Last night was SUPER LOUD!
I expect the Spurs to WIN at least one out of the three away games in a close one and then come back to SBC and take care of business.

I will be in San Antonio on the 19 and 20.

Wallace ²
06-13-2005, 11:51 AM
Im talking about Darko getting 3-4 mins in the late first and third quarters. He needs to average around 6-9 minutes a game. Just that little bit of regular time would help a player out a lot. Im also talking about Delfino and Dupree. Delfino was supposed to be the second coming of Manu. Same type of player. Dupree is an energetic player who can defend and give the team some momentum with a good dunk. Those were basically the 3 players I was talking about. Im not ungrateful for last years championship, Im glad they won it but I have never been a fan of LB.

Sloan is no innocent victim, he can be a real asshole when he wants. Most of the blame has to be put on Brown.

yes
technically the pistons have the advantage, being down 0-2

Pistonfan is trying to figure out how to get his head out from the ropes and crawl to the corner, just like Mike Tyson. They are crying about how the refs robbed them and talking sh!t about how the *defensive player of the year is watching the Spurs celebrate by running a parade of attacking guards through the lane.

Marklar MM
06-13-2005, 02:38 PM
Ben has a tough assignment. He has to guard his man, and at the same time, the guard at the top of the key, because everyone knows the guards are having a field day going to the hole.

A lot of them posted after the game last night and were very classy about the loss.

Question about the officiating: Why doesn't the NBA keep the best 3 officials for every game of the Finals? IMO, I think the games would flow much better and the consistency from game to game would be there...

SA is playing phenomenal, Detroit isn't even near their level in the first two games. The frustrating part in last night's game is that they missed a ton of lay-ups. There are still positives to take away from the game(holding SA to 2 FGs in the 4th) but the light is starting to fade.

And damn, how many implosions do we have to see because of the officials? Play through it...

That's funny. He is the guy I hate the most of all the officials.

Dallas went like 0-8 with Crawford at one point this year. He always let other players beat up on Nowitzki and that frustrated the heck out of me. :pctoss

Check last night's threads again. I posted about 5 or 6 times before I went to bed.

Spurs kicked our butts. What else are we Piston fans supposed to say? Spurs are playing like champions and have been showing that they are very much deserving of the crown this year.

I just hope the Pistons start playing better and make this a more competitive series.

LOL. Here is an interesting tidbit.

Postseason box scores show Detroit is 1-7 when either Ron Garretson or Dan Crawford has officiated its games and 11-1 when neither has been on the court.

keep that research mind frame intact because you're going to have to find all sorts of excuses when this series is over.

im neither a NBA player nor NBA analyst

Right here pulling for a triple play in the palace. Even though they're down and there's no way the Spurs could ever blow a 2-0 series lead... I'll keep pulling for them until the bitter end.

Keep talking trash Spurs Fans, you only have a couple more hours before you get a little less confident

nice ignorant blanket statement....since of course all Spurs fans think the same way all the time...here is some of my trash talk....

how about "remember you need four wins"?

Its not over folks.

Let's get game 3.

samikeyp

FWIW, I got the post. :)

samikeyp
06-14-2005, 05:50 PM
thanks Mo

I just don't like all Spurs fans being lumped together as one. No fan base should be. If that makes me "picky"..so be it but to me its about sportsmanship and to me, that is bad sportsmanship.

MosesGuthrie
06-14-2005, 05:56 PM
you got it. :)

I would agree with that. It pisses me off when people say "all you Spurs fans are crybabies" or something to that effect. I am not as passionate as Mikey....who is?.....but as someone who has lived in Michigan....I have the utmost respect for the people up there as I do for the people here in SA. They are actually pretty similar.

samikeyp
06-14-2005, 05:58 PM
well...even if I wanted to...I couldn't diss people for living in Michigan...if my wife has her way, I will be one of them.

There are a lot of great places to live in Michigan, some of the best in the country. Lansing is not one of them...

what about Dearborn or Ann Arbor?

DisgruntledLionFan#54,927
06-14-2005, 06:13 PM
what about Dearborn or Ann Arbor?

Dearborn is mediocre at best. Ann Arbor is a nice place but land is at a premium because of the UM campus.

You'd be better off in Farmington Hills, Novi or Northville.

combs84
06-14-2005, 06:18 PM
I live in Novi, they are constantly building here, so while it has a lot of potential..its a bit annoying right now. Its not bad at all though.

I would reccomend Northville also, if not there are parts of Plymouth that are really nice and affordable as well.
