LOL owners. I don't even give a shit about the season next year.Hell, lock 2013 out too so we can get to see two seasons of the stacked UNC, Kentucky, and UConn teams slugging it out.

Typical harsh, overly exaggerated, emotional nonsense frequently on display with today's youth.

I think I heard the same thing about the Mavs last year.

I forgot Spurs players don't age every year. Duncan who everyone thought was saving his energy for the playoffs continued his amazing game of 13/8 -- Parker I don't recall ever playing and Manu hit that one three in game 2.

this is just during the lockout with a clause to be able to come back. IMO any player wanting to play even overseas is a good thing. Would you rather them get rusty smoking herb and eating tacos in the good ol USA?

props to him, Deron, and all the other guys going overseas

Good news. Playing increases the odds that he stay in shape even if he hasn't been able to do so while being a NBA starter. Blair is likely done as a Spur but staying in shape is important to keep his trade value.

Conjecture, or were they trying to move him on draft day?

Overseas is where Blair belongs, he is not an NBA player. I think he'll thrive over there, I wish him well - as long as he never puts on a Spurs uni again, that is.

8 points and 7 boards a game isn't an NBA player? Blair may not be the starter you want him to be, but he's certainly worthy of being a rotation player in this league at the least.

blair is solid. i blame pop for playing him out of position. to be honest i dont know what position that is but its not center. he is more of a small ball power forward. all those 20-20 games and crisp passes arent a fluke. i like him better when he was raw. pops head games and too much McDonalds took its toll on him.

He's a scrub who got starter's minutes playing alongside Tim Duncan, that's where those stats come from. At best, he might work as a last-off-the-bench energy guy in some system, hopefully not ours.

I liked his beasting games, fun regular-season good times and all that, but he was pitiful and useless in the playoffs. To say he's a liability on D is an understatement, and he's as dumb as a rock and tries to compensate by pushing too hard.

Blair is a clean up man and sometimes a finisher on the break. He's hardly an initiator.

I agree that he's not a good NBA player. He's got potential to be a good one, but if he doesn't show improvement in his decision making ability he's not going to get many minutes in the NBA.

He's not really big enough to be an inside guy, he gets dominated by bigger defenders in the paint. He doesn't have an outside shot though, so he's relegated to the cleanup work and boxing out.

He's a decent defender with great hands, but he's not polished, and may never be.

San Antonio Spurs forward DeJuan Blair has signed to play with Russia’s Krasnye Krylya Samara for the 2011-12 season, his agent told Yahoo! Sports on Friday.

Because he’s under contract with the Spurs, Blair’s deal has an out clause that allows him to return to the NBA this season should the league-imposed lockout ends, said his agent, Happy Walters.

Nothing but good news for Spur fans. Mayber, Blair will learn how to shoot a jump shot.
Also, some of these players need to be careful overseas. Things they do here, particularly at the clubs, could put them and keep them in jail for a long time.

Lol @ Blair isn't an NBA player. Typical Spurstalk idiocy. He was the second best big on the team last year. That's a fact.

Popovich outsmarted himself, fucked things up, and fucked up this team's chances.

On the other hand, I can't believe Boner isn't get offers from all over the place. He is the new centerpiece, right? The fucking floor-spreading ninja is going to be sitting on his ass this fall?
