Dead Island

Anyone else thinking of getting Dead Island? To be honest I wasn't going to get it on day 1 but I found a place that was selling it for $33 on a promo so I couldn't pass it up.

For those that might not know it's steamworks so I was able to use the Key and redeem it on steam. I now have it pre-downloaded and ready to go for it to unlock on the 5th.

Anyway, I'm starting to get pumped up for it as I have heard it's actually pretty long in length, and content.

I'm also hoping to see some good mods to come out for it, but who knows.

looks really fun but honestly it's on the back burner because there are so many great games coming out in the next few months.

Battlefield 3, skyrim, RAGE, GoW3... just to name a few.

Not to mention all the other games i have piling up that I need to 100%

I've heard its quite glitchy from the origional release.... but there was a release-day patch that fixes a TON of stuff.

Either way, anything zombie related, I'm in.

If I did get infected though, I would blow my own brains out, no doubt. I wouldnt be one of those bitches that tries to hide it from the group. I'd want to be done in while I was still me at least. Maybe hold off a few zombies while my friends got away and then pull the pin on a grenade or some shit.

I picked it up. It really isn't all that bad. If you have spare cash no reason not to pick it up. Far as negatives and positives.

Positives-

Combat is a blast
Controls work very well
Great graphics
Zombies
Free roam

Negatives-

Tons of fetch quests
Story is pretty basic
Voice acting sucks
Odd glitches
Quest map is kind of screwed up.

I'd give it about an 8.5. Good fun game.. especially if you know someone else that has it.

It's definately a fun game, especially when playing multiplayer at higher levels.

It is quite satisfying watching a zombie bum-rushing you only to boot it square in the face and bash its brains in or slash its limbs off.

The combat takes a bit to get used to but once I did, I was grinng everytime I massacred a group of zombies.

Its a cakewalk to begin with but once you hit level 20 or so, it becomes quite challenging having to manage your weapons durability and knowing when to hurl them at incoming zombies and such.

I hated it thursday when I played for about 3 hours. Picked it back up friday and played for a few hours and played it for 7 hours yesterday. Its freaking badass now. I'm at level 22 and about 50 % done with the game.
