When Manu was a rookie I know he wanted #6 but couldn't because of Avery Johnson. Then he was going to get #13. Why didn't he go for that one?

I think #13 was Malik's number. That is the only reason I can come with...anyway # 20 is one number less than # 21...Roberto Clemente's number, the best right fielder in baseball's history...and TD, the best Power Forward in bascketball today! Cool ah! :smokinI thought Malik was 31??

I think #13 was Malik's number.

Malik's number was #31.

I think I read one time that Manu just preferred number 20....out of the ones that were offered to him by the Spurs. No real significance.
