Rodman:

5x NBA Champion
2x DPOY
7x First-team All NBA Defense
7x Rebounding champ

Robinson:

2x NBA Champion
1x DPOY
4x First-team All NBA Defense
1x NBA MVP*
1x NBA Sportmanship award

*Was really Hakeem's, as proven in the WCF later that year.

If your trollish antics weren't so obvious and disingenuous you might actually have a case...

More like:

Rodman:
5x NBA Champion
2x All-NBA Selection (0x-1st, 0x-2nd, 2x-3rd)
8x All NBA Defense (7x-1st, 1x-2nd, 0x-3rd)
2x DPOY
7x Rebounding champ
2x NBA All-Star
52nd Highest Defensive Rating in NBA History :lol
6th Ballot Hall of Famer

Robinson:
2x NBA Champion
10x All-NBA Selection (4x-1st, 2x-2nd, 4x-3rd)
8x All NBA Defense (4x-1st, 4x-2nd, 0x-3rd)
1x NBA MVP
1x DPOY
10x NBA All-Star
1x Scoring champ
1x Rebounding champ
1x Blocks champ (BPG and Total)
1x NBA Sportmanship award
1x NBA Rookie of the Year
Collegiate Player of the Year
3x Olympian (2 Gold, 1 Bronze)
6th Highest Defensive Rating in NBA History
1st Ballot Hall of Famer

And really if given the chance between the two players 100 GMs out of 100 GMs would choose David Robinson to build their franchise around...

Rodman was a role player that happened to do his role better than anybody else. I wouldn't say he was a better player, but he would impact an already good team better.

For being a dress-wearing tranny faggot: Rodman

For bible-thumping and zealous preaching: Robinson

Overall: Robinson

I really can't imagine any GM in the world (possible exception greece?) building a winning team with Dennis Rodman as the centerpiece. Talented role player, no doubt. But he was on the right teams at the time (except the spurs of course :lol)

yeah I was gonna post all those stats but I decided to filter them and only pick the ones that matter...except for the Sportmanship Award. That shows he's a good guy.

meh...

Evidence itself should be a thread closer... :sleep

The problem is that many Spurs fans here are swayed by the trolls' unsubstantiated/agenda-driven drivel... they end up believing crappy takes like:

"David was soft"
"Shaq always dogged David"
"Hakeem always outplayed David"
etc...

instead of supporting their own...

If you think I'm exaggerating go back a scrutinize these "trollish treads"... see how many alleged 'Spurs fans' end up believing the lies uttered by the OP in those respective threads. You'd be surprised how many fans don't know their own team's history.

Rodman and it ain't even close. Rodman with Spurs = 0 rings. Rodman with competitive competent championship talent = 5 rings. Let's go to the tape:

Rodman:5
TD: 4
Admiral: 2

Hakeem was by far the best player on the court in that series. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

He won that award for grandstanding against an awful Clippers team in Game 82. His award was invalidated in the WCF.

If you say so. When was the last time an MVP won the title? Duncan in 2003? Shows that the MVP is just a regular season award tbh

Not winning a title is not what invalidates his MVP. Getting face-raped by the rightful MVP is what voids it.

Since 2004 the rightful MVPs are as follows:

2004 KG
2005 Shaq
2006 Kobe
2007 Dirk
2008 LeBron
2009 LeBron
2010 LeBron
2011 LeBron

rodman was a role player imho, dude played a pivotal role in their second 3-yr C'streak but he was still a role player after all. d-rob was a true leader of the team and the spurs were a regular 2nd-round maker in those years. the difference between d-rob and rodmayne is just like that between chris webber and ben wallace imho, both were great players but their roles were sheer different
