Italian owner wants Ginobili, Bryant together (http://projectspurs.com/2011-articles/september/italian-owner-wants-ginobili-and-kobe-together.html)

After confirming his interest in San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili six days ago, Claudio Sabatini of the Italian club Virtus Bologna has not only reiterated his interest in Ginobili but has now entertained the idea of bringing Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant to Italy as well.

Imagine Bryant and Ginobili on the same team? Their play in the open court and penetration would be spectacular to see. According to Sportando.net, Sabatini is really hoping (http://www.sportando.net/eng/italy/serie-a/31107/claudio_sabatini_talks_again_on_kobe_bryant_and_ma nu_ginobili.html) that a deal of this nature can be done.

"I can risk by my own the 50% of the total amount of money needed. For the other half, I need the help of private companies, professional associations and the municipality. We have three opportunities: the arrival of Kobe Bryant, the return of Manu Ginobili and the organization of FIBA World Championship Under 19 in 2013. If I don't have the help to cover the other 50% of the cost I am not going forward to negotiate with Kobe Bryant" said Sabatini

Even though the idea of Bryant and Ginobili teaming together sounds fascinating, Spurs fans and management will be hoping that Ginobili takes the locked-out offseason to recover and rest as his team just finished winning the 2011 FIBA Americas tournament.

But can you play Ginobili? Can you blame Bryant? Can you blame Sabatini? For Ginobili and Bryant, two of the fiercest competitors in the NBA who only know how to play at 110%, they can only sit for so long. They're basketball players, they need to play the game they have so much passion for.

For Sabatini, he's a business man who sees an opportunity that is being wasted. Ginobili and Bryant can be valuable marketing players for him, any business man would try to pursue this opportunity.

It really is an insult to Kobe the 6th greatest scorer and #50 all-time in assists with 6 rings in the same sentence a Linguine Pasta hair....:bang

and the fact that he can afford Pasta Hair but cannot afford Kobe should tell you all you need to know on who's more valuable. lol

Manu didn't take on the offer yet.

Pasta hair & tired old shitbag would make a nice duo, IMO :lol

Would this be the first time tired old shitbag Kobe wins without a dominant big man?

Of course they need Manu, as he is the only player classy enough to make up for Kobe's total lackthereof.

waste of talent to have kobe & manu on the same squad imho. 3-guard lineups don't work out fine in euro leagues imho, european small forwards would be too MF'N big for manu.
