This would be sick and if they sign the rest will follow.

08:10 AM ET 09.21 | A dream team Italy could love? Spurs (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/4564) guard Manu Ginobili (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/4245) has been weighing an offer from his old Italian team Virtus Bologna to join them during the lockout. But the team could provide a sweetener to seal the deal -- the chance for Ginobili to play with Kobe Bryant (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/4152). Sportando.net reports that Bologna team president Claudio Sabatini said his team has been talking with Bryant for nearly a week to join the team. Bolognabasket.it reports that Bryant has been offered $600,000 per home game to join the team during the lockout. The offer would start on Nov. 13, when the Italian team starts its season. Bryant should have an idea about the lockout at that time. His deal would provide him with an NBA-opt out for when the lockout ends if he joins them.

Quote from the owner:

I can risk by my own the 50% of the total amount of money needed. For the other half, I need the help of private companies, professional associations and the municipality. We have three opportunities: the arrival of Kobe Bryant, the return of Manu Ginobili and the organization of FIBA World Championship Under 19 in 2013. If I don't have the help to cover the other 50% of the cost I am not going forward to negotiate with Kobe Bryant" said Sabatini

In other words, this probably isn't going to happen.

The offer they made to Kobe is actually $800,000 per game. $600,000 is the amount after taxes. They are nuts. Kobe is not worth anywhere near that.

why would Kobe want to establish bag of shit status in Europe?

I think it would be awesome. I'd love to see Kobe and Manu play on the same team, especially in Europe, which would make it all the more interesting. And, there's a slight chance that with Kobe playing for some other team it might ("might") help speed up the lockout. Owners don't give a shit about mediocre players, but I can't see how they'd want their superstars risking injury playing somewhere else. But more importantly, that would just be a fantastic backcourt.

Of course it will never happen.

Yeah, now if only we could get them to show the games on American television then the NBA would be nervous indeed....

Isn't it legal to use streaming if there's no way to watch the games (i.e. they are not being broadcast) in your country of residence?

I have great dislike to the Kobe Bryant. He believe he better than Mikhail Jordon, which is untrue. Mikhail has longer tongue, therefore more aerodynamo lifting. It is simple comparison

Manu Jinobili and Kobe playing balls is good idea though.

I disagree. I think Manu would love the chance to play with Kobe and would only help the chances he would go over there.

Saying that, I doubt he goes anyway with the twins and all that.

I disagree as well. Those two guys would love to play together because they are basketball players who admire one another. I'm sure they are both hoping it doesn't come to that though.......

Manu recently said: "The only place Im playing if not SA its Bologna" so If Kobe goes it would only make him wanting to play there even more

Sabatini worked with the agents overnight and this morning claims Bryant will play for Virtus at 95%.
They agreed upon the money (3.3 M$), apparently they need to work out the final details.
On a per game basis, Kobe will get more than what he gets form LA.

Manu is obviously under the false delusion that Bologna is the same club it was 10 years ago. He obviously has no idea how much the club has fallen in stature in recent years.
no, i think he sees it another way, he feels its his home and the place he grew up as player. I doubt he's playing there for titles or money.

Ginobili said he is intrigued by the offer, but still unwilling to commit with the team — whether or not Kobe Bryant joins them.
