:lol:lol Please head towards all the Kardashians.

Scientists say that pieces from a 6 tonne satellite are heading to Earth and could hit anytime, anywhere and possibly, anyone.

Scientists say they cannot predict where the satellite will hit but there is a one in 3200 chance that it could hit someone. Don't ask me how they came up with those odds though...

NASA estimates that the satellite will break into more than 100 pieces on re-entry, and some will burn up - but it's estimated that around 26 of the heaviest metal pieces will hit the surface - in lumps weighing up to 100kgs. They say this should happen in the next few days.

So in order to help you avoid the satellite shrapnel I have a list of ten things you should remember to keep safe.

SATELLITE SHRAPNEL TOP TIPS:

10. Wear a helmet. Permanently.

9. Avoid open spaces like farms and lakes. Strange things always happen to people there in movies.

8. If it's shiny and in the sky - run for the nearest cave or building. It could be aliens anyway so best to avoid it all together.

7. Carry you mother in law on your shoulders. I'm just saying

6. Learn to ninja roll. Ninjas can dodge everything and so can you.

5. Walk in groups. The stats say its 1 in 3200 people that may get hit. Not 4 in 6.

4. Wear flip flops on Friday. Stats show that you are more likely to get hit by a satellite on Friday wearing shoes.

3. Eat breakfast. Not only will it help you perform no.6 but it's important to start the day fresh and full.

2. Don't stand near an American. Everything happens in or to an American. Apparently.

1. Pretend to be an animal. The stats say nothing about the odds of being hit if you are a cat or a dog.

Good Luck

Is it even possible to sue? Cause I would think NASA has fat pockets.

Nuts to think that someone is probably going to get smashed by a giant piece of metal falling from outer space tomorrow. :wow

Its unlikely as hell anyone is going to get hit. Its going to land in the middle of no where more than likely.

Math. They are tracking it and based on its speed they can calculate when it will reenter the atmosphere. The atmosphere isn't a completely even factor, however, so they can't tell you exactly when it will slow enough to force reentry until its very close to happening.

Just said on the news that around 26 pieces will hit the ground. Most of it should burn in the atmosphere

Hopefully the u.s stores everyone's credit history in one location. That it is stored in one building and in one computer and some how some way the piece....

ah forget it.

math dosen't give u the exact location where the spacecraft is gonna hit. winds are damn strong in the troposphere where the movement of the dead satellite would be extremely unpredictable. Nasa don't tell you where/when its gonna hit the ground until it actally land on earth, they reach in location real quick taking pics of the corpse & revealing the details on TV, and hence convince you retards that they have accurately predicted the location of landing so that the govt will continue to fund their bullshits

This was the update this morning.

Update #10
Fri, 23 Sep 2011 08:45:08 AM MDT

As of 10:30 a.m. EDT on Sept. 23, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 100 miles by 105 miles (160 km by 170 km). Re-entry is expected late Friday, Sept. 23, or early Saturday, Sept. 24, Eastern Daylight Time. Solar activity is no longer the major factor in the satellite’s rate of descent. The satellite’s orientation or configuration apparently has changed, and that is now slowing its descent. There is a low probability any debris that survives re-entry will land in the United States, but the possibility cannot be discounted because of this changing rate of descent. It is still too early to predict the time and location of re-entry with any certainty, but predictions will become more refined in the next 12 to 18 hours.

There is a low probability of it landing in the United States. I would assume the longer its in orbit the farther west the zone shifts?
