These are frustrating times for the Trail Blazers, who last week were forced to change direction in their coaching search when their top candidate, John Lucas, pulled out of consideration.

What's even sadder is Lucas turned them down. Probably afraid he'd relapse if he got anywhere near that franchise.

Portland needs better management. The talent they have had. They set no bottom line for the players. Miles using racial slurs at Mo Cheeks, getting suspended, then paid by the team to not file a grievance with the players association. Portland is the place to get away with most things if you are in the NBA.

John Lucas sucks ass and don't know why anyone would give him a job, he was one of the worst coaches in the history of the Spurs. He almost destroyed the franchise during the 93-94 season.

mo cheeks looked like he needed to be kept under suicide watch for most of the time he was there. (im just glad karl is under contract in denver) otherwise there may have been a shooting or something.
