Yawn. Even Dan MF'n Issel damn near scored 20ppg when he was 35. With the new rules that are designed to boost scoring, TD still couldn't muster even 15ppg. Pathetic. :toast

Here's how important your list is:

Malone never won a championship, but his numbers are good. He was known for faltering in the playoffs.

Self explanatory after that (to people born after the third trimester).

Baylor: Not a big man.

Hayes played in a much weaker era.

Ewing played 26 games that year.

Dream shot 48%, which is poor for an NBA center.

Barkley shot 48% and played 36 minutes a game. He also doesn't play any defense.

Wilt. Weak era.

Lol Dan Issel. 6.8 boards a game and a shit defender.

I won't take anything away from Kareem and Malone. But Duncan's stats aren't much of a deviation from the other players. I know your retarded brain immediately focused in on PPG, without considering shooting percentage, pace of the era, the system the player is in, or how good they play defense, but in reality, Duncan is still a very capable big at 35, just as capable as any big to ever play the game at that age aside from Kareem and Malone.

You guys said his PER was still good commensurate with the amount of minutes he played. You guys said y'all were saving him for the playoffs. Let's go beyond points and look at his last playoff series as a Spur:

12 ppg

Not bad for a 35 year old, but not up to the standards set by his peers. :downspin:

If there is no NBA season and TD retires, the Spurs are DONE. Pop talked shit when Shaq was traded - saying some shit like it was equivalent to Russia breaking (something like that). I'll finish that sentence for you.

Mike Brown coached a team with no talent outside of LBJ and guided them to back to back 60+ win seasons. When Mike Brown left the Cavs, they ended up with the #1 pick in the NBA draft.

Mike Brown now has a team with more talent than he ever had in Cleveland. A team that was swept and embarrassed that will come back with something to prove. His new team lost their defensive identity which just so happens to be Mike Brown's specialty.

Mike Brown will allow Kobe ball and the Lakers will falter. No one respects Mike Brown after the debacle in Cleveland.

It's interesting how a coach can get such good results after inheriting such a powerhouse 1st overall pick.

It doesn't matter what Brown says. It's Kobe's team and will be if they ever set foot on the hardwood again. All that planning shit will go out the window as we all know Kobe ain't getting younger and is prone to go into chucker mode when it seems a lost cause.

Also, Kobe doesn't trust his teammates. He doesn't like them. He thinks they hold him back. He will shoot them out of contention unless he's injured.

The best chance the Lakers have is if Kobe gets injured. Pau and Lamar (not tits bynum) will carry the Lakers and will play solid basketball. Pau can lead that squad like he did in 2009 and 2010.

son don't bother posting facts and stats in here. Spur fan says they don't count. when Duncan is 36 and putting up some even more pathetic ass numbers like 10 and 6, they will still try saying "well if he played an extra 5 minutes per game then he would be dropping 20 and 10!!"

Being 35 is no excuse for being a tired old shit bag:

Mailman 27.0ppg/10.3rpg/3.9apg/0.9bpg
Elgin Baylor 24.8ppg/10.6rpg/5.4apg/(blocks stats not kept back in 1969)
Kareem 23.9ppg/8.7rpg/3apg/2.7bpg
Elvin Hayes 23.0ppg/11.0rpg/1.6apg/2.3bpg
Ewing 20.8ppg/10.2ppg/1.1apg/2.2bpg
Dan Issel 19.8ppg/
Dream 18.9ppg/9.5rpg/1.8apg/2.5bpg
Admiral 17.8ppg/9.6rpg/1.8apg/2.3bpg
Shaq 17.3ppg/7.4rpg/2.0apg/1.4bpg
Barkley 16.1ppg/12.3rpg/4.6apg/0.3bpg
Wilt 14.7ppg/19.2rpg/4.0apg (block stats not kept back in 1971)
TD 13.4ppg/8.9rpg/2.9apg/1.9bpg

Discuss. :downspin:

Instead of comparing them at the same age, why not compare them at the same amount of games played? Aside from Kareem I doubt anybody on that list had played as many games as Timmy by the time they hit 35, and NOBODY is or should be trying to claim that Tim was better than Kareem.

Here I'll put it in easier terms for you. Kobe's age is not a good odometer. This is because he jumped into the league straight out of HS and has played in MANY postseason games. Understand?

Mailman delivered 27 per at age 35 and played just as many games (maybe more) than TD did at that age. I'm sure Utah never went lottery in the Stockton/Malone era so for him to double up TD's offensive production at the same age speaks wonders about him as an athlete. Or, does this feed into my theory: the refs made TD. When he no longer had the athletic ability to pull his WWE stunts, 13/8 became a reality. Now I'm afraid 13/8 is his permanent ceilingPERIOD. Understand, man? :downspin:

only one year ago TD was still barely a 20+10 guy. dude like turned shit overnight which shocked/disappointed a lot of his fans, his 13/7 stats doesnt look too bad by itself but the speed of his slumping is jolly shocking. lets just wait & see if he can get things back in the new season (if there is a new season)

1) They are Lakers.
2) I'm sure we are not the only ones.

Dont disagree 100% but ...

1. Barkley was playing a whole lot on the perimeter by then so 48% is not bad when you are taking 3's and jumpers. Chuck deserves credit for expanding his game.

2. True Ewings sample size was small but he was shooting a lot of high post jumpers at that age as well.

3. I agree Baylor was not a big man but much like Chuck he played like one ...

4. And agree with Mid's point, Malone (despite choking) and Kareem are freaks of nature. Not many 35 year olds can match those two ...
