View Full Version : Are The Spurs Better Off With: Kwame Brown or Tim Duncan?

you know the deal...:lol

It's a shame we're legitimately reduced to seriously comparing Duncan to Brown. Based on what Duncan gives you right now you guys would be better off in all respects with Kwame Brown. Paying Duncan close to 20 million next season is part of the reason why owners want a new CBA. Duncan has a bad contract and they shouldn't have signed him to it. I personally think Duncan would accept a salary in the range of 1-3 million ( especially if you throw in a new play station with that new Dungeon's and Dragon's game.

I'd pick Kwame without hesitation.

Tale of the tape:

Kwame - Played in 66 games last year and gave you 7 pts and 6 rbs while earning a paltry 1.2 last million

Timmy - Played in 76 games last year and gave you 13 pts and 9 rbs while earning 19 million last year and 22 million the year before that...

Spurs actually would be smart to sign Kwame. They could use his low post defense against players like Bynum and Z-Bo (LOL). He's good for about 15-20 mpg to complement TD's 20-25 mpg. The thing is they can't sign a 5 because TD is not quick enough to play PF and has to play center to be somewhat effective. Unfortunately for TD, the Spurs have been protecting him for 15 years by playing him at the 4 spot. He is no longer quick enough to be played at PF full time. Sure he got good numbers as a PF but when he was required to play the 5 full time, he was reduced to 13/8.

When you put it that way, Spurs = F:lolcked

Serious question, though. Who are yall gonna get to guard Terry next year? It's obvious Kobe and his "doberman defense" can't do it, and Artest is a space cadet who doesn't seem to give a shit about basketball anymore.

Shoulda kept Sasha. Would've been the Lakers best perimeter defender next year :lol

What will you say then? :lol

Kwame has great trade potential. Maybe we can trade him + some felon for Dwight Howard.

TD is still a much better player stat-wise. if TD agrees to terminate his current contract and sign a new one with annual salary somewhere between 5m to 7m then he will still be an integral part of the team as always, its all up to him now.

It's the:::

tired old shit bag Duncan: 4

that makes it palatable. You know, like you'd be crowing if the tables were turned, but, after The Skunker & 8, uh, uh.

I don't feel like looking it up but if I'm not misteken...with bad knee and finger and all...Kobe was like 4th or 5th in scoring last season...and he avg more in the play-offs than Wade, Lebron, and Dirk...

so he's obviously still performing at a very high-level..please don't try and bring my guy down to Timmy's low-performing level...Kobe is still worth is pay Duncan not so much...:lol and that's putting it mildly...:lol

lets see. losing to one of the top PF in the game today thats playing the best season of his career to getting shit on by a midget, old man, & a turtle.

i will take duncan seeing how hes getting paid less & practically took his team as far as kobe did in playoffs. its not like kobe won more games in the 2nd round than TD.

There we are again with "Lakerfans" and their PPG argument, what where his % compared to Dirk/Wade/LeBron?

It's literally:

Kobe 5

Dirk/Wade/Lebron 2

Now stew on that :lol
