a RAM usage monitoring type program.

my computer has been crashing every few days or so, and it seems to coincide with the filling up the standby memory. anyone know of a program that can tell me what program(s) are doing this?

windows resource monitor is where I've noticed the excessive standby memory usage, but it doesn't say what programs are (over)filling it

Resource Monitor will show which processes are running and how much memory each is consuming.

Standby memory gets filled by the OS. It's mostly for caching.

You should look if your actual RAM chips are ok, or if your drive is starting to fail (after filling up RAM, the OS pages out to the swap file/partition).

I would start by checking your drive. That's the most likely target.
