seriously no trolling...
What is disappointing during all of this is that I see everyone involved except Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitski and it is truly disturbing...All the NBA players are fighting for the fraternity...all the elder statesmen of the league...every single one of them with those 2 notable exceptions.
It is disgusting...especially since they been in the league for as long as they have and are "allegedly" the smarter ones. Now is not the time to be island hopping, climbing banana trees and swimming. Now is not the time to be searching out dark skinned Tranny look-a-likes in Germany to marry either...
Selfishness at it's best if you ask me and no this is NOT leadership...
that's it and that's all....

yeh calling out the veterans of the game who earn every penny they worked hard for and living up to their contracts, compared to the rest of overpaid players in the league who dont back it up on the courts...they are lucky they are not flipping burgers or doing a dead end job like the rest of the population. The smart ones saved every penny, its the uneducated ones who spend every pay check on rims or their BFF entourages...
seems like the union is tryin to get more then what they need as to compared to keeping the league afloat...whose selfish? the players or the owners who put out money buyin the teams and employing these players...theres nothing stopping the owners from outsourcing the roster for cheaper players from europe....remember its the white guys who control the media etc in corporate ameria, who do you think they will do business with?

How can you knock these guys for doing exactly what you would do in the same situation?
While Tim and Dirk would probably help from the perspective of the public (i.e. give an image of professionalism that Lebron and Wade may not have), they are not the future of the game, and have less sway with the NBA, which has made its money off their star power, and won't make much more down the road. In terms of sway with the NBA, they don't have the same power (though Dirk has more than Tim at this point).
The reality is that the best person to show up from a player perspective would probably be Kobe. He has both player respect and high earning power for the league.
I thought this might come to an end, but both parties seem to be digging in. Of course, for players its just a matter of time. Sure Wade and Lebron can talk about cancelling the season as no big deal, but most of the players in the league don't have Lebron/Wade money and they have bills to pay. Foreign dollars probably help (for those on foreign rosters), but there is a big difference between playing on the big stage in the NBA - a global showcase- and playing on club teams in Europe.
Ultimately, the players need the owners more than the owners need the players. The owners don't need the NBA stage to make their millions. None of the owners rely on the NBA as their sole source of income.

without the stars of the league, the nba can still fabricate new stars just like the wwe...

Listen Kobe is in front of this...he's in meetings and speaking at player conferences. Don't think for a minute that Fish isn't giving Kobe the inside scoop on meetings Kobe doesn't attend.
I think the leagues elder statesmen should step up and so far its been Boston's big 3 and Kobe.
I think Kobe, Ray Allen, and Timmy are the smartest players in the league and should be out front. Problem is Duncan isn't there...its a shame really.

If only Kobe had shown so much effort and determination when he was down 0-2 to Dallas.

The Spurs shot their nut in the regular season and were done by the time the playoffs rolled around, but at least they fought Memphis instead of laying down and dying by 36.

What Laker fan would want to hear about Kobe leading his team to the ultimate quit job?

I agree, I feel the younger players should be the ones stepping up here. It influences their futures more than the veterans. They have Fisher, a guy who seems to be both responsible and dedicated, for guidance.

Dirk and Duncan don't care about that shit. They care about winning and it shows in their games. Lebron, Wade, and Kobe are just in it for money and hoes.

I don't speak for anybody here cept Bryant. Ipso facto:::
Kobe: 5
tired old shit bag Duncan: 4
Dirk: 1
Wade: 1
It's that 5th one that proved to be the straw that broke the proverbial's camel's back.
& daddy???Bryant knew it.
