The LSU Tigers can win the National Championship this season. Get as picky as you want, but have you noticed where they have won games this year? We can sit down and break down all the details if you'd like, but it's not like we have to fill an hour of talk radio time.

It's not that hard picking out a quality football team that has talent, speed, strength, and a defense that likes to eat its prey while still alive. Jarrett Lee has done a nice job at quarterback, and the Tigers are winning with football plays, not sheer luck or sudden miracles.

What can destroy this team if it's not managed properly is the danger of the poison ego. Let's hope the team and the coaching staff understands why you don't screw up a good thing. Let's hope Jordan Jefferson knows what that means.

Recently, Jefferson said he wants his starting job back. He plans on doing whatever it takes to do so. Yeah I know, competition for playing time is a good thing; it's supposed to make your team stronger. It's the right way to do business.

Let me tell you when it's the wrong thing to do. It's wrong when your ego gets in the way of why and how LSU is the No. 1 team in the country. It's wrong when you get greedy and think two different styles of quarterbacks assures you a National Title.

It's wrong when you can't comprehend what Jarrett Lee has done ... what he has endured and accomplished this season.

Jordan Jefferson needs to cool his public comments and take one for the team. It was Jefferson who screwed things up. He put himself in that bar, not God.

Jefferson needs to realize what the stakes are here. Les Miles better have a tight grasp of what happens to teams when you try to please everyone. Jefferson needs to stop trying to gather votes for the starting position. Keep those comments private.

Lee is the quarterback until his performance dictates otherwise. Jordan Jefferson may have to accept a limited role.

The last thing the Tigers need is having to deal with a player who feels jilted and he speaks publicly about it. This will be Les Miles' biggest test for the rest of the season.

Like the song says, "The Lord is waitin' for ya, but the devil is too."

(LSU beats Florida on Saturday.)

son I don't think they will get stomped out. LSU is pure shit during day games. I forget the exact number, but LSU's home record on day games over the last 50 some odd years is barely over 50% .... I think they will win the game, but I will be surprised if its by more than 2 scores. Especially considering the fact that Miles is hell bent on playing his jungle booty butt buddy now

Only Jigaboo Jefferson can derail the Tigers at this point.
