Orton era might be over now

Stupid decision..he hasn't played a snap with the 1st team since last year, he's getting no time for preparation, and they're going to call vanilla plays all game(which is John Fox's specialty)..Tebow won't succeed with ultra-vanilla playcalling..

Next week is a bye week and then a game against a shitty Miami team, should have waited..

Perfect scenario for the Broncos. Team is going no where with Orton. Might as well play Tebow so they can lose the rest of their game and draft Luck.

Tebow threw a perfect pass on 3rd down. Willis should have caught that. At least thats what Skip Bayless just wrote on twitter.

HarlemHeat37
10-09-2011, 05:53 PM
Tebow's passing looks rusty, as expected, but his running ability just picked up 25+ yards and a TD..it came on an audible, too..

He's a lot more exciting than Orton, that's for sure..for a shitty team like the Broncos, that are going to lose either way, I'd rather have some excitement..this team has bored me to death, since 6-0..

That was a great play by San Diego's corner, just got it out of Lloyd's hands..

I can't imagine someone playing this well in an actual game really looked as bad as Fox and his staff acted like he looked in practice/training camp. Tebow might be the real deal but Fox was a horrible hiring.

HarlemHeat37
10-09-2011, 06:17 PM
:lol What a soft fucking call..essentially ends the game..

Very happy with this game, Tebow still needs to work on his accuracy and desperately needs snaps with the 1st team, his short-yard passing is still weak..the bye week helps, and he'll be going up against a bad Miami team in the following week..

Unfortunately, Orton no longer has any trade value, with all these poor performances he has had this year..

JMarkJohns
10-09-2011, 06:17 PM
He's had a few passes that looked horribly thrown, but several others that really should have been caught. Hard to make a reading from this sample size, but with 1st-team reps and experience, I can't imagine he's the epic bust so many guarantee he'll be (I see you Hodge).

JMarkJohns

:lol What a soft fucking call..essentially ends the game..

Agreed. Way to take the game out of the players' hands. He was shoved in the back, and responded by getting in the guys face. It was stupid, but shouldn't have been called that late in that situation.

Broncos fans have been saying this all year, there are meltdowns on the forums, in regards to Tebow, every week..

He literally didn't play a snap with the 1st team in preseason, and barely had any in training camp..the Broncos 2nd team is horrible, especially the O-line, Tebow had very little to work with..the media's overreaction astonished me, they didn't take any variables into consideration..

He's clearly a flawed QB, he's a below average passer, but he isn't any more flawed than Orton, and he's a lot younger and more passionate..

DUNCANownsKOBE
10-09-2011, 06:26 PM
Tebow's running ability is also something the Broncos need as a redzone threat given how bad they are inside the 20.

The short-yardage accuracy will get better, and as the team builds a system around his skills, some of his other weaknesses will be lessened (downfield passes will be more open due to heavier fronts at the line). He's making the right reads, just needs timing and accuracy, which should improve.

little more air and a WR probably gets it, but as it was the WRs didn't have enough time to react

Actually, if you look at the replay, Willis was pushed out of bounds..I don't expect a call, because it's the last play of the game, but that affected the play IMO..

What's up with San Diego, btw?..they don't look nearly as good as I(and most others) thought they would..the Gates absence, or what?..

Yeah. It wasn't a perfect throw, and Tebow needs touch on the sidelines/backlines as he was high/leading or low/behind and never right on, but considering the running he was doing, the ball was a nice toss and in the vicinity of his receiver, who probably should have had a bit more of a play than he made.

The fact that people always think, going into every season, that this will be the year San Diego, "Puts it all together" and lives up to their potential. The high expectations for a team simply not that good is why they disappoint every year.

they've been riding a weak schedule/division and very good QB play for a few years now. but they haven't actually been that good, AJ Smith is building up a very poor Draft record, and his big signings and contracts haven't been working out too well either

oh yeah and norv is one of the worst coaches in the league

DUNCANownsKOBE

Yeah this^ is correct too. It's actual remarkable how big the talent gap between the 2006 Chargers and current day Chargers is. Their 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 drafts did nothing to replace the talent on that 2006 team that's since gone elsewhere or gotten old.

That extra week of preparation should really help Tebow. For me personally, the biggest concern now is the team getting drunk during the game when Tebow accidentally touches a gatorade cooler and turns it into wine.

HarlemHeat37
10-21-2011, 02:09 AM
Actually, there are far more Tebow haters in the media, than there are supporters, tbh..before he became a Bronco, I thought differently, but since he has joined the team, most "analysts" in the media bash him and criticize his entire game..

If the Broncos win, it will be a half-half reaction..

For 55 minutes of Sunday's game, Tim Tebow(notes) was more dud than savior. His Denver Broncos were down 15-0 to the winless Miami Dolphins and the quarterback's uneven play was a big reason why. And then he turned water into wine.

Probably the strangest game I've ever watched, as a Broncos fan..

Out of Tebow's 5 appearances as the Broncos QB, the first 3 quarters in this game was his worst regular season football in his NFL career, he looked terrible..then he became John Elway, during the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter..Broncos are the first team in NFL history, to win a game where they were down by 15+ with 3 minutes left..

Tebow is going to have a difficult time with Fox as the head coach..he's the most predictable and unimaginitive coach I have ever seen, tbh..

No..part of the reason Denver is in this mess, is due to Pat Bowlen's financial struggles..he reluctantly parted with McDaniels, because he had no choice..he won't fire Fox, because he won't want to pay another coach..

That was the worst QB play I've seen from a Denver Bronco since Tommy Maddox filled in for Elway in the early 90's.

I was almost mad we won that game because in no way shape or form did we deserve it, Tebow sucks and always will, and it took us pretty much out of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes.
