You're right, I can't imagine the mainstream media not wanting to investigate the possibility...

...especially since they were burned so badly the last time they tried to cover for a Democrat.

No, it will play well with his base. Liberals are suppose to have affairs, conservatives aren't.

that is how politics is played, right?

Play to his base? Is it that Dems are supposed to have affairs, or that they don't tend to run on "family values" platforms hypocritically?

I remember that period, but I wouldn't characterize the "support" he received as having had to do with his indiscretions (although there was some of that because comedians have trouble doing anything that doesn't celebrate blowjobs and Brazilians will give any publicly sexual Leader of the Free World a nod as cooles of the year) as much as it being that people thought the entire impeachment process was expensive, bald-faced politicking.

That shit destroyed Gingrich's career as much as his affair. Talk about a lack of end-game.

See, you see it too. Liberals get a "bye' on the issue, but conservatives don't.

No, I don't prefer anything like that. I just wish people were treated equal regardless of party when it comes to their personal lives.
