The rankings are horrible..they have Blake Griffin in the top 10, above Carmelo..sad, tbh. I'm not a Melo fan, but dude has proven himself to be a much better player than Blake at this point in their respective careers. Let Blake prove something before you give him a top 10 nod.

WTF? No way he was better than Derrick Rose last year, and certainly won't be whenever the next season is played.

Not horrible. I would of argued he is still holding on to the top 5 (barely, but still)

I would definitely get the arguments for Wade, Lebron and HOward but a hot post-season does not put Dirk or Cp3 over Kobe.

But all 5 plus durant are great players. at least they did not pick a scrub over him.

Winning a title with a shit supporting cast definitely puts him over for now.

That's cool. He top 7 per their "experts," but is #1 in ring count. I'll take that. :toast

Yep! 7 is fine. Considering he is 15 years in, it's damn amazing.

And more rings than the top 6 above him.... combined! :toast

Isn't Griffin the first rook to be an all-star and put up 20 and 10 since our very own Tim Duncan? Good company tbh. Carmelo really has done nothing to prove himself of, well, anything. A slew of first round exits, whining to be traded, plays no defense, teams up with an even worse defensive player and then gets assfucked in the playoffs.

Carmelo, while he may have the most polished offensive game in the league, doesn't have "it." Until then I'd take Griffin over him anyday.

On Griffin: I don't see a flashy, athletic dunker being a driving force to a championship. There was Mike who could shoot, and even Kobe had to have daddy and Pau to get there.

Blake is ok, he's not the next coming.

The rankings are not for their legacies, but for the way the season ended. And given that, how could you say that Kobe was a better player than Dirk last season? There is no statistical metric, or on court success to defend that argument.

Given Kobe's slide, I still thought he was a top 5 player in the league through most of the season with Dirk, LBJ, Wade and Howard but better than some of the other young guns. I still feel like Kobe gives me a better chance than CP3 to be honest. But I am not so sure regarding Durant. At like KD showed up in the Mavs series. He was VERY inneffective in the 4th quarters, and the OKC offense completely crumbled because of it. But for the other 3 quarters KD was playing his ass off. Kobe didn't make a single important contribution after game 1.

Given that it's hard for me to say Kobe > Durant right now.

7 is a fair ranking for him. He's still a beast, though not as explosive as he once was (unless he's in a Colorado shower post rape attempt).

It's a shame, he could have been the GOAT had he not shit all over Phil, Shaq and that hotel room.

Both times by the eventual Champions.

Not by the number 8..... Laker farm team who tanked to get you! :lol

It just doesn't get any worse than that base. There is nothing lower.

Oh wait... no doubt you did much better the year before this fluke embarrasment no? Swept by the Suns. The SUNS!!! I stand corrected. :lol
