gov't left the economy with the keys in the ignition, engine running and doors unlocked. Wall Street took it for a joyride, crashed it, asked the gov't for a new one, and the gov't gave it one.

That was a very general question. If the question were more specific - e.g., who do you blame from the 2008 economic meltdown that created this economic disaster? - then a substantially higher percentage of Americans would probably blame Wall Street.

the financial sector got the deregulation it wanted by corrupting govt.

After 80 years of regulation that made banking stable and boring while the Real Economy grew fantastically, esp '45-'75, they said "you can trust us now, what could go wrong?"

So if The American People think the govt has enough power to screw up the economy, then it has enough power to intervene and unscrew it, right?

The American People are pretty fucking stupid to get duped by the relentless lying from the VRWC propaganda machine for 35 years.

And exactly what does that mean, Darrin? That the financial industry is to absolved? Give me a break you fucking tool.

Even if they are only representative of the views of 30% of the entire US population that is hugely significant.
