Legal Tender? Maybe Not, Says Louisiana Law
"Lousiana has passed a law (http://www.mygov365.com/legislation/view/id/4db66f7549e51bd334be0300/tab/overview/) that says people may no longer use cash for second hand transactions (http://www.klfy.com/story/15717759/second-hand-dealer-law). The idea being to make all transactions traceable, thus foiling copper theft, etc. This move has profound implications that range from constitutional rights to Bitcoin, Craigslist and so forth.

Why bother printing this on the money anymore? I keep seeing more and more instances of forcing citizens to use banks.

This isn't about tracking stolen property, it's about capturing state sales and income tax from the underground economy of used goods.

Pfffffffff. Once you start debasing the currency, the nation isn't far behind. I see even the GOPified court overturning this.

Exactly It would be an illegal law.
If I wasn't afraid of the airlines having me held for questioning, the next time I fly, I might complain about having to buy with a credit card, meals and drinks. I though about it when I was on the flight, and they announced they didn't take cash.
