she is indeed "damaged goods". but it's hard for me to say what i think will happen. initially i felt like she'd escape until the middle of next season... but who would she even be an asset to? and haqqani got away so i don't she would. especially without his... clout.

She has already served her use by giving the wrong location for the attack. Now she is nothing but a liability to the Russians.

Claire Danes gave a spoiler on Fallon last night that the season finale is going to have tons of action unlike last season's finale.

Can the first piece of action be blowing that bitch Laura's head off with a shotgun? Please...

I can't wait to see what the Russians do to Allison now.

Damn, never figured it was going to be Saul's firing squad. Why was the SVR willing to smuggle her when she had no more value to them anymore? LOL Ivan handing her over.

A few days ago one of the writers said they're going to have to get Carrie back in the CIA. How is that happening with Saul in prison and with the purge Keane did on the CIA? I guess she'll talk Carrie into leading the CIA next season? But damn where are they going to go having lost Quinn and Dar Adal now too? Now Carrie and Saul Berensen are the only interesting characters left in the show with Brody, Quinn, and Astrid killed off and Dar Adal likely to get the death penalty for treason.

and Dar Adal likely to get the death penalty for treason.

I think Carrie is going to get Dar Adal off the hook. He'll get jail time but not the needle. Remember, he tipped Carrie off at that hotel and that saved Keane's life.

I don't think he give a shit about saving Keane's life, he didn't want to see Quinn framed. And he's the one who put everything in motion by trying to sabotage the Iran nuclear deal. I don't know how that's not death penalty worthy to try to draw the US into war on a lie. Maybe Adal kills himself before sentencing, but no way he survives.

Who gets more peoplle killed? Jack Bauer or Carrie?

Quinn was half a vegetable and he was 100% more authentic and entertaining tha bland Carrie.

I also think binge watching this doesn't do this show any good. I thought this season was pretty lame and has dipped into complete absurdness.

I was confused when I saw Alex Jone's wannabe still free but Dar wasn't? They colluded, clearly. And the president and everyone knew it by the end.

Like I said, absurd.

The show is dying, slowly. I always expected Quinn to die, but not like that. :(

I don't get all the talk about the show dying. Season 3 & 4 were crap but 5 & 6 have been really solid. Not as good as Seasons 1 & 2 obviously, but still highly worth watching. What didn't you like about Season 6?

Brett O'Keefe seems more like he's loosely based on Bannon and Breitbart than Alex Jones other than the voice. Especially considering Breitbart's biggest fake news story was pushing those highly edited videos that James O'Keefe did to sink ACORN, just like Brett O'Keefe was doing with the edited videos of President Elect Keane's son to make him look like a coward. Brett O'Keefe seems like a much more mainstream right wing commentator than Alex Jones. O'Keefe may rant and rave like Jones but he's the Homeland universe's Bannon.

I didn't think the show would survive Brody's death. It will survive Quinn's. This was the best season since S1. I'd be open to a Peter Quinn prequel series a la Better Call Saul.

I haven't watched this since the season that ended with Brody escaping. Have no idea how many seasons I've missed or if I should start watching it again. Watched 24 this season after seeing all previous ones and I thought it was pretty bad. Prison Break on the other hand has been pretty good.

Check out Designated Survivor. Pretty decent show for basic tv. Deals with a lot of the same themes as Homeland just tamer, obviously.

No argument from me there. Carrie's character makes me hate and love her at the same time. She will never lead a normal life and raise Frannie.

And who was the kid that hacked into her computer? :lol

At least last week's episode finally had some decent action. Should be interesting how everything plays out once Carrie exposes the president having McClendon murdered like the wingnut talkradio dipshit had been broadcasting. I'm guessing Saul is going to be back in jail again before the season ends.

I think it's pretty critical to the story since this season is really putting Carrie's mental illness and it repercussions front and center.

Good season overall, I have to say. A little on-the-nose at times with its parallels to the real world political climate but definitely still appointment TV.

I kept thinking Yevgeny was going to show Carrie pictures of Frannie and threaten her life as well as her sister's, though I guess they broke up the Russian cell so maybe they weren't capable of that hit. I hope Frannie and family were under federal protection.

The one thing I really didn't like this season was Paley. He didn't seem like someone who would sell his country out to the Russians and then all of a sudden his assistant makes him give up Saul's plan to the Russian ambassador just to protect his investigation of Keane? I think the writing could have been a lot better, as Paley never seemed like a bad guy until last episode.

Then again, maybe they were saying Keane and Paley were both the bad guys for the bitter partisanship that made the nation so easily exploited and both had to fall? Still, having Paley commit treason seemed like a real stretch.

Yeah I agree, he went from sympathetic tool to treasonous way too easily. It was pretty obvious what the VP was going to do.

I'm tired of the "carrie is having a bipolar meltdown" episode that expand multiple episodes.

Glad this show is ending next year. Let's make it 8 times in a row where Carrie has a meltdown, has a forbidden and fucked up relationship with the enemy and then have Saul bail her out per par. :lol
