Say you'll most likely last 10 years and start playing tomorrow. What would be the lowest salary you would accept? Assume it's a guaranteed contract that lasts exactly 10 seasons with a clause stating you must quit afterwards else pay back 50% of what you made during the period. Also, you are not allowed to take classes/side jobs while under contract.

Myself, maybe 200k, noting that there's living expenses and partying that I'd have to pay for. Maybe shoot for saving ~100k a year. Also note uncle same takes a big cut...

If I had the skills of LeBron James, no less than $20 million per year average.

Hard to say since no one here knows the routine. It could be a cakewalk or it could totally suck.

I'd rather do what I am doing now and make 20 million a year.

I'd play for free just to get that kind of a chance, but realistically I'll probably take 1mil to keep the lights on, party a little, plan for retirement and cover the eventual medical costs that will come up after 10 years in the NBA.

If I was getting a decent pension, I'll do with 750k.

Hard to fathom anybody here would be making less than Matt fucking Bonner...

Wonder why you guys don't just start the Euroleague MVP, Tiago Splitter, over Bonner.

Well pass, we don't get to make those decisions as fans, but we would if we could :lol

I'm sure you will see that next year.

tbh for a mid-class chinks family the average monthly income is like 500 bucks thats why they have such great motive to immigrate

A) I would need full health/life insurance, for on season and off.
B) I would need at least a stipend to live on for basic necessities.
C) I would need to have my travel arrangements, including transportation and lodging, covered when we are on the road.

With A, B and C, I would play for $20,000, and would seek incremental pay increases based on how well the pro ball sales were going.
