for calling House into session only 6 days in January 2012, "the world is watching what we do on economy." Damn right! And they say Obama is not doing enough to help the jobless.

It might have something to do with the weak fundraising numbers on the part of the tea-party freshmen.

I would be willing to bet that a bit extra off-time was alloted for them to go begging.

Just saw this lady on C-Span, which is apparently my new favorite channel, and all she did was babble incoherently. Is this someone that mainstream liberals take seriously and look up to?

board libs don't seem too fond of her. she also has the highest unfavorable rating (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/congressional_favorability_ratings) of any congressional leader.

It's not hard to see why. She's the Newt of the Democratic party.

grass is green thread

Thread is old, though there is some correlation to this thread topic as she was talking about last night's debate. The bump is more about how awful she seems in general. Agree or disagree?

She's terrible. And that includes the looks and everything else.

A new study in the International Journal of Press/Politics has found (http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/07/100708094601.htm) that better-looking politicians attract more media coverage. Researchers from the University of Haifa had people rate a number of Israeli politicians according to their do-ability. After controlling for a number of variables

it was found that the more attractive politicians are covered in the television news more than the less attractive politicians, physical appearance having more influence on the amount of coverage for women than men.

Her point is clear.

The 2010 Repugs ran on "Where are the jobs, Obama?", lying to their suckered voters that the Repugs would push for job creation, when all the Repugs have pushed for is abortion (20 bills?), union busting, war on employees, cutting spending for the poor, young, old, sick, while cutting taxes for the untouchable wealthy and UCA.
