Michael Young's dumb mistake, Cruz, a strike away from the Final out twice... What am I missing?

Cards had 3 errors and a couple other misplays also. Tit for tat.

Tbh, not taking the out at 2nd would be a moot point if he made a firm and accurate throw to 1st.
