I loved this one growing up too, when I caught re-runs.

You might want to check out the TNT show "Leverage" with a similar premise, i.e. a group of thieves doing good. Sort of a cross between it takes a thief and a very mild version of the A team.

Leverage is a half ass American redo of Hustle, an excellent BBC series for the first 4 seasons. The 5th is meh.

Then the BBC series must be pretty good.

I like leverage, as it is good "popcorn" fare, but harbor no illusions that it is anything beyond that.
