Daddy & Kobe in panic'sville.
Horry, gettin' it up & down.
The horn sounding thru the din makes it's incredibly emotional.

& the Portland game in 2000. If that doesn't come off there I'm probably not here and Kobe most assuredly hasn't got the shit bag down 5-4. But, you can't even go there if you're LakerFan:::it's too close to catastrophe to talk of it, to speak it aloud very often. We were this || fucking close to going out & over an abyss that is in comprehensible upon gross examination.

I didn't watch the first video, but I'm guessing it's the 27-point comeback from like 2002? That was a dark day for teenage me.

Didn't the Celtics overcome a historic deficit in the early 2000s against the Nets in a playoff game? I could be mixing the teams up

We dont like to talk about that one up north. Thats the game that did us in.

Understood. But, there is no joy in discussing it amongst us either. It was courting utter disaster. That's when Media was after Daddy with the tar & feathers. They were gonna lynch him, at the very least high tech style. They hadn't taken off after Kobe to that point though. It was all on Daddy.
That 2000 come back is akin to Dirk's come back this past Spring at 15 down. Not as pure & chaste as Dirk's, but, comparable.

It was in the Conference Finals. They were down by 25 or so at one point in the third quarter.

That day is forever burned in my head:lol
that one game changed a few teams futures for sure, no question the lakers were on the way to winning some titles with kobe/shaq. But that one year could of been ours and who knows what could of happened.

Just because it was a historic comeback doesn't make it the "best", since both teams were crap compared to the West. The East was a massive suckhole in the early 00's.

I saw that shit live. Amazing.
Mine is the generic Lakerfan choice. The Horry 3. Still awesome.

It took about two minutes for the Lake Show to take, what was it, 15 points off a 27-point Sacramento lead two nights before?
I thought L.A. could get back in it down 24. Lot of time. At home. And it was the Kings.
Horry's shot... that was going in as soon as it left his hand. You could tell.

Haha... I was watching that game with a bunch of Laker fans and before the inbound I said if Horry got the ball the Kings were fucked. :lol

Yeah, that wasn't hard to believe once you saw Sacramento forget how to even inbound the ball for that one stretch in game 3.

Game 1 2008 WCF. Lakers looked like horseshit for 2.5 quarters. But they make a string of points and then San Antonio could not stop them anymore. :lmao
The 27 point LA comeback in 2003 has been already worn out and paid in full, so I'm not going to use it.

As an opposing fan, those Lakers teams would make you shit your pants in a hurry. Kings still held on to win the game but this little run they had was pretty crazy

It's incredible the body language that Horry expresses as the ball comes out to him.
