They lost in overtime to the #1 team...the fact it was a home loss hurts them, but they should drop no further than 4th imo.

1. LSU
2. OSU
3. Stanford
4. Alabama
5. Boise St.

4th or 5th, though they are probably the 2nd or 3rd best team in the country. talk of a rematch is beyond ridiculous. no team should have to beat another twice, its stupid.

Lets say they play again..

1) LSU wins; pointless, thats twice now

2) Bama wins; pointless, LSU given the task of beating them twice and it already happened in tuscaloosa (in essence a tie)

...my preference is Stanford vs. LSU, even Boise St if the Cardinal loses to Oregon.

realistically, bama is still 2nd best...but osu and stanford will definitely be ahead of them. It would be a crime if bsu was.

As much as some people would like to see a rematch, i'm pulling for an LSU-Stanford NC...would love to see how Luck holds up against that D in a title game. Great TV.

sons real talk ... the "rematch" talk would have been more legit IF LSU had been the losing team considering that they still have to go thru Arkansas in a couple of weeks who will be ranked 4th-7th if not higher. Bama on the other hand has a cake walk the rest of the season. hence why tonight was the National Championship game.

same here and i think it would actually be a good game. the Stanford offensive line might even be able to create lanes to run against LSU and the Cardinal defense could definitely slow down the LSU offense.

Ok State's gimmicky offense would be overmatched against LSU's defense
