Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has struggled throughout the campaign with foreign affairs, but even after adding new foreign policy advisers, he's still having trouble. During a videotaped discussion with the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel editorial board, Cain flubbed a straightforward question about whether he agreed with President Barack Obama's decision to devote American resources to the uprising in Libya. Cain paused for several seconds, but could not offer a clear answer.

"President Obama supported the uprising correct? President Obama called for the removal of Gaddafi? Just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing before I say yes, I agree or no, I didn't agree," Cain said. "I do not agree with the way he handled it for the following reasons. Nope that's a different one. I gotta go back. I got all this stuff twirling around in my head. Specifically what are you asking me if I agree or don't agree with President Obama?"

Cain went on to criticize Obama for the way he "assessed the situation" in Libya, but said he "would have supported" the uprising against Moammar Gadhafi.

I see Cain has been drinking Perry's new and improved stupid juice. This is getting ridiculous. His campaign is already over but if that had happened on live television his campaign would have stopped on the dime.

People that think Herman Cain is the shaznat are convinced there is a "liberal media" conspiracy to bring him down.

Not dissimilar to what they think brought Palin down.

It couldn't possibly be because they were idiots, oh no. It was a conspiracy.

The anti-intellectual streak of the radical right makes this kind of stupidity into a badge of honor.

He should have just said he wasn't privy to that kind of information to base an opinion instead of trying to BS his way through the question. The first 60 seconds of that clip it's obvious he's trying to think of a way out. He has no poker face. The guy is blinking a million times, looking at the ceiling, playing with his bottle of stupid juice, fixing his tie, repositioning the chair....just doing anything to stall for an answer. I wish I could have seen the interviewer's face as this is going on :lol

Not the first time this guy has done that. He makes Palin look like Copernicus.

Are any of these candidates really serious about being President of the United States of America?

Seems like a pretty terrible reality show as it is.

This kind of ignorant bullshitting works in corporations, where macho con men, surrounding by suckling sycophants, bully their way through and nobody challenges them.

When Cain loses the likes of Pamela Geller (http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2011/11/cains-unrecoverable-moment.html), it's all over for him.

His candidacy’s now basically an experiment to see if there’s anything he could say about policy that grassroots conservatives wouldn’t ignore/forgive in the name of nominating a candidate who’s “authentic” (http://ace.mu.nu/archives/323726.php) instead of some slick RINO Beltway insider phony (many of whom at least oppose collective bargaining for PEUs). Is there anything? Or can any screw-up be dismissed so long as it’s “clarified” a few hours later, knowing full well that undecideds won’t be as forgiving if he pulls something like this in a debate against Obama? How steep is the authenticity grading curve here, exactly?http://hotair.com/archives/2011/11/14/brutal-cain-blanks-on-libya-supports-collective-bargaining-for-public-employee-union/

Like Rick Perry's inability to remember one of the three federal agencies he would eliminate, the moment must be seen to be believed -- do watch above, no description is adequate -- and is damaging not because presidential candidates must know small details like the leader of Uzbekistan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmkvtfEEFT0), but because Cain clearly hasn't thought at all about a war his country was fighting while he ran for president.http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/11/marvel-at-how-little-herman-cain-has-learned-about-libya-in-6-months/248474/#

a year or so ago i had a hunch that the 2 years in advance road to the GOP primaries would backfire on Republicans. there's a ridiculous number of debates, events, interviews (not sayin it's a bad thing in the name of finding out more about what these guy are really all about), and it was only a matter of time before you had a couple of guys blunder.

Seriously though, this field of Republican candidates is a joke. Period. The strongest one is Romney, and few conservatives really want him.

At this rate, I might sit my kids down to watch the next debate rather than hitting Barnum and Bailey.

I find is despicable that so many people want to shit on Herman Cain. Do they not realize this country re-elected GW Bush to 4 more years? Anything is possible, and anyone is electable with the right spin and big money behind them.

A dollar might not be worth what is used to be, but enough of them will win you a spot on the election ticket.

Wow. You know he's toast when even Malkin won't defend him by blaming the media.

It's all just good entertainment though, in the end the GOP always picks the next in line and that's Romney.

"Can you tie your shoes?"

"Are you able to dress yourself?"

"What number comes after the number two?"

"How many sides does a square have?"

"If Sally had 3 apples, and Sam gave her 2 more, how many apples would Sally have?"

These are the questions the liberal media conspiracy are going to throw at them next. BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Let States ‘Legalize Medical Marijuana’

GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain took a surprisingly progressive stance on medical marijuana today while campaigning in Iowa, saying he supports the rights of states to make medical marijuana available. “If states want to legalize medical marijuana, I think that’s a state’s right,” he said. “Because one of my overriding approaches to looking at all of these issues — most of them belong at the state, because when you do something federally … you try to force one-size-fits-all.”
