Next week will usher in a new era for KSAT's 10 p.m. news, one without the lovely and commanding presence of Ursula Pari.
After 16 years of co-anchoring what's known in the business as "the big show," Pari has decided to step down from the station's signature newscast that she helped make a steady No. 1.
"A lot of people look at me like I'm crazy," Pari said, explaining that anchoring the main nightly news show is a major goal in broadcast journalism. "It's not what people usually consider the first step in cutting back. It's such a feather in your cap."
Her last day on the hour-long 10 p.m. news will be Nov. 30. Weekend anchor Isis Romero, who already has a major presence on the late weekday newscast, will permanently slide into the seat next to Steve Spriester.
But that Isis Romero is freakin' hot!!
