I'm hoping the Saints can get that 2nd seed, but its gonna be tough. Also, the Saints are inconsistent on the road so running the table won't be easy. If the defense can figure things out, that will be big, but Greg Williams loves to blitz too much despite the lack of speed at LB. The best blitzer is SS Roman Harper. The LBs are better in coverage.

I think the Cowboys will win the East. I'm hoping the Niners can lose a couple of more games so the Saints can possibly get the number 2 seed.

Wild Card is up for grabs. Cutler's injury hurts, Lions are struggling, and the Falcons aren't that good. The Giants may get a spot, but I doubt it.

There's no way in hell the Giants make the playoffs. They do this every year, somehow beat 1 great team they shouldn't early on, get massively overrated, then fall off the tracks the 2nd half of the season.

I think the Falcons will end up getting in, and the Lions will barely squeak in over Chicago.

I agree. I actually placed a bet 3 weeks ago that Dallas would win the division.

:lmao@ all of you saying the Giants will miss the playoffs. It is not gonna happen. They vowed they wouldn't let this season slip away.

Giants will probably lose to the Jets. If they weren't giving away games like they have all season, they'd be 9-1 or 10-0 right now. :bang

I have the Lions finishing at 9-7 and just missing out. ATL finishes 5th and the Bears take the final spot.

No clue in the AFC as that still looks like a giant clusterfuck led mainly by my lack of faith in Dalton, Sanchez, Tebow or Hasselbeck.

Raiders schedule is deceptively tough. They always seem to blow in Miami (who's actually looking like a competent NFL team as of late), they'll obviously get slaughtered by Green Bay, and the Chargers, not wanting to go out like the bitches they are, will summon up a post-season-like intensity for that game and do everything to play spoiler to the Raiders' playoff hopes if they should be on the bubble.

Ain't gonna be easy.

IronMexican

They can't lose to Miami. Got a hundred bucks on det game.

Bad bet dude...the dolphins always seem to beat the raiders, no matter how shitty they are. I think culpepper is the only raider qb to beat them since gannon in the 2000 playoffs

It'll be a tough game for the Raiders. Dolphins are 7th in the league in rush defense and obviously the Raiders main strength is their run game. Will probably be a close one.

I think both the Bears and Falcons end with 10-6 records giving the Bears the 5 seed with the tie-breaker over the Falcons. Lions end at 9-7 and the Giants end 8-8. I think the Saints end as the 2 seed, 49ers 3, and Cowboys 4.

Then in the playoffs I see the Bears beating the Cowboys (if Cutler is back) and the Falcons beating the 49ers.

With Forte and Cutler out it looks like Chicago might be screwed. Don't count the G-men out yet. Lions have a more favorable schedule than ATL imo too. Falcons are a crap road team and have away games left at Carolina and Nawlins.

How so? Baltimore beat them, and they have the same conference record...

DeadlyDynasty

Baltimore also has the tiebreaker over Pitt and has a better record against common opponents with NE

Dr. Gonzo

Houston is 8-2 in conference. Baltimore and NE are 7-2. Houston has better win percentage.

Yes, howeva, the conference winning percentage is before the head to head in tie breaker rules.

Simply put, if they both win out then Baltimore is the first seed. But yeah, Houston is technically 1 right now

But 49ers hold the tiebreaker because of better conference record. Let's hope Big Ben's ankle is better for next Monday's game vs. them.

49ers have the tougher schedule. But the Saints could easily lose next week at Minnesota.

It's insane that two teams like Cardinals and Eagles are still technically alive in the playoffs after the starts they had. Real testament to lack of overall depth and levels of choke in the NFC East.

Neither are likely since the Falcons and Lions are now at 9 wins, but still. Makes me laugh.

Pelicans78
12-18-2011, 09:06 PM
Actually the Seahawks are 7th right now. They have the tiebreaker over the Giants.

Darth_Pelican
12-18-2011, 09:09 PM
The Lions have to play the Chargers and Packers in the final 2 weeks. They could lose those 2 games and the Seahawks or Cards (who are both playing really well) could sneak in and get that last playoff spot.

Cardinals chances got slimmer after the Giants loss.
besides, even with all the come from behind wins they've been having, that just means they suck for the first 3 qtrs.
Great way to fuck up the drafting position you fucking asshole coach.

Wishful thinking...Cardinals vs Seahawks in the last game of the season for the last wild card spot will be a pretty epic battle.

Chicago is in free fall. Too many injuries to their top offensive players.

I think Chicago was 7-3 or 7-4 when he said that, tbh.

Looks like Lions and Falcons are a lock for the last 2 spots. DET might lose to SD, but GB will be sitting their starters in the Lions' final game if they beat the Bears this week.

If Jets win and, Bengals lose and Raiders win, Raiders get 6 seed.

If Dolphins beat Jets, Bengals lose and Titans win, the Titans get it.

The Jets chances are slim to none. They need Oakland, Tenn and Cinci to all lose.

One more week till the dust settles. I actually feel bad for the Saints--they've had such a great year but it looks like they won't even land a bye out of all this. Look at all the QB-WR combos in the NFC playoffs:wow:

Rodgers - Jennings/Nelson
Brees - Colston/Graham/etc
Manning - Nicks/Cruz
Stafford - Megatron
Ryan - White/Jones/Gonzo

Even the 49ers have firepower with Trabtree/Edwards/Davis, although Alex Smith is just a caretaker.
