I think she's always sucked...but it is consistent with all the old acts the past few super bowls...most have sucked....

Is there any act that would actually do this over-hyped event justice?

It's an event watched mostly by men, so they thought Madonna would be a good idea? Totally blows. Unless she can turn back the clock, get younger and do "Express Yourself" in that tight leather outfit and crawl around on stage, then no thanks.

Um, isn't Foo Fighters one of the biggest bands in the world, who just released a new album earlier this year? Are they on tour and couldn't do it? Looking at their tour dates, they don't have anything schedule for February at all.

Bring back the Bud Bowl. Certainly robotics has progressed to the point that they can mechanize some beer bottles to play a football game. Or barring that I am fine with scientists genetically engineering sentient strains of hops and barley that would just allow the beers to play the game themselves. Failiing that the two teams that lost in the conference championship games come out and play an exhibition game while totally drunk, one side on Budweiser, the other on Bud Light.

I'm still a little baffled by the selection. I don't know if they did any market research on this or what but the reaction of most everyone I've talked to about it is line with a lot of what's said in this thread. It sounds like the only people with any intention of watching her perform right now are more interested in being able to have an informed position when they mock her on Monday morning.

I thought the halftime show sucked!! Madonna moved like a 50 something old women she is. She moved in slow motion throughout her performance and in one instance she almost seemed to lose her balance. Not a fan of Nicki Minaj, or Cee Lo. Who the hell is M.I.A.?? She sucked also!! The only good thing about the the show was LMFAO making an appearance!

I thought it was hilarious how they mocked their own shittiness by pretending to promote a premium line of Bud Light. And I have to respect the guts to make it the first ad of the game. Most people probably didn't catch the satire, since it was so dry... it looked like a serious ad for an actual product.
