I feel like reading a good sci-fi book.
After looking at some reviews, my top two choices are:

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41YXPMGSGrL._SL160_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-dp,TopRight,12,-18_SH30_OU01_AA160_.jpg or http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Ys51PMPYL._SL160_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-dp,TopRight,12,-18_SH30_OU01_AA160_.jpg

Anyone read either of these? Or anything else worth trying?

I don't read a lot of sci fi but enjoyed Ender's Game (series), Crescent, Spin, and Old Man's War.

The Robot series is also pretty damn good. I also recommend 2001 and Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke, and Dune.

I actually did read that earlier this year based on someone mentioning it on SpursTalk. I liked it as well but I didn't really think about it as a sci fi book as much a just a great story.

Forever War by Joe Haldeman

Ender's Game (and the rest of the first series, ie Xenocide) by Orson Scott Card

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

1984 by George Orwell

Pretty much anything by Phillip K Dick

I've heard William Gibson has good stuff (Neuromancer) but I haven't read much.

Time Machine, War of the Worlds by HG Wells

I actually didn't mind the first two sequels, though they were a completely different tone. Didn't care for the Bean/Ender's Shadow stuff though.

Oh, and Starship Troopers is another obvious one.

Edit: Oh, and you've read the series anyways. :D

I tried to read a William Gibson book (count zero? not sure...)... imo it sucked... but I bet it's my fault for being too old...

There's some great Dick out there.

in all seriousness, Dick's last three books were his best imo. I enjoyed Transmigration of Timothy Archer the most.

Also, I can't recommend goodreads.com enough - nice to be able to keep track of what you read, as well as mark books to-read. They have an iPhone app, not sure about Android.

It's a Dick story called "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale", and it's way better than that shitty movie, which is hilarious.
